California state route 1
State Route 1 (SR 1) is a major north-south state highway that runs along most of the Pacific coastline of the U.S. state of California. Highway 1 has several portions designated as either Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), Cabrillo Highway, Shoreline Highway, or Coast Highway. Its southern terminus is at Interstate 5 (I-5) near Dana Point in Orange County and its northern terminus is at U.S. Highway 101 (US 101) near Leggett in Mendocino County. Highway 1 also at times runs concurrently with US 101, most notably through a 54-mile (87 km) stretch in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, and across the Golden Gate Bridge.
The highway is famous for running along some of the most beautiful coastlines in the USA, leading to its designation as an All-American Road. In addition to providing a scenic route to numerous attractions along the coast, the route also serves as a major thoroughfare in the Greater Los Angeles Area, the San Francisco Bay Area, and several other coastal urban areas.
SR 1 was built piecemeal in various stages, with the first section opening in the Big Sur region in the 1930s. However, portions of the route had several names and numbers over the years as more segments opened. It was not until the 1964 state highway renumbering that the entire route was officially designated as Highway 1. Although SR 1 is a popular route for its scenic beauty, frequent landslides and erosion along the coast have caused several segments to be either closed for lengthy periods for repairs, or re-routed further inland. If you guys are not familiar with Big Sur, it's in Central California along the coast via Highway 1. It starts from San Simeon and stretches to Carmel. It's definitely one of the most scenic drives I've ever taken. It's a long and windy drive but the view is breathtaking. I highly suggest you make the drive (in the daytime) at least once in your life.

- We missed the 1-fwy entrance via 101 fwy, so we had to cut through the 46 fwy so we could get take CA-1 fwy for the scenic route. However, not regretting this detour since the drive was so unreal with views that I thought were just desktop screen savers. They also have a lot of wineries in this stretch of road. Will definitely want to come back for a wine tasting trip here.

Big Sur
Big Sur is a lightly populated region of the Central Coast of California where the Santa Lucia Mountains rise abruptly from the Pacific Ocean. Although it has no specific boundaries, many definitions of the area include the 90 miles (140 km) of coastline from the Carmel River in Monterey County south to the San Carpoforo Creek in San Luis Obispo County, and extend about 20 miles (30 km) inland to the eastern foothills of the Santa Lucias. Other sources limit the eastern border to the coastal flanks of these mountains, only 3 to 12 miles (5 to 19 km) inland. Another practical definition of the region is the segment of California State Route 1 from Carmel south to San Simeon. The northern end of Big Sur is about 120 miles (190 km) south of San Francisco, and the southern end is approximately 245 miles (394 km) northwest of Los Angeles.
The name "Big Sur" is derived from the original Spanish-language "el sur grande", meaning "the big south", or from "el país grande del sur", "the big country of the south". This name refers to its location south of the city of Monterey. The terrain offers stunning views, making Big Sur a popular tourist destination. Big Sur's Cone Peak is the highest coastal mountain in the contiguous 48 states, ascending nearly a mile (5,155 feet/1571 m) above sea level, only 3 miles (5 km) from the ocean.

Alanis Morissette
Alanis Nadine Morissette (born June 1, 1974) is a Canadian-Americanalternative rock singer-songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and actress. Morissette began her career in Canada when she signed a two-album recording contract with MCA Records Canada where she released two commercially successful dance-pop albums, Alanis (1991) and Now Is the Time (1992). Following the release of the albums Morissette left MCA Records Canada and was introduced to manager Scott Welch. Morissette began working on new music, after moving from her hometown of Ottawa to Toronto, but did not make much progress until travelling to Los Angeles, where she met Glen Ballard.
Together the pair began creating what would become Jagged Little Pill, and by the spring of 1995, she had signed a deal with Maverick Records. Jagged Little Pill was a departure from Morissette's previous work and featured rock genres. Released in 1995 Jagged Little Pill was a huge success and sold more than 33 million units globally. Her following album, Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, was released in 1998.

Sorry for being away for a while, but I'm back at it again with another episode of "Anne Goes To." This time, I'm roughing it up to Big Sur! Yes, I can do nature and get dirty once in awhile. This is my third time camping (in my lifetime), and it's always a different and fun experience for me. It's definitely one of the most scenic drives I've ever taken. It's a long and windy drive but the view is breathtaking. We manage to find a camp site in Monterey and explored the area. We made our tourist pit stops in Big Sur on the way back home. » Splash Cafe 1491 Monterey St San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 - Come here for the clam chowder! » CA-Hwy 46 passing through Paso Robles - We missed the 1-fwy entrance via 101 fwy, so we had to cut through the 46 fwy so we could get take CA-1 fwy for the scenic route. However, not regretting this detour since the drive was so unreal with views that I thought were just desktop screen savers. They also have a lot of wineries in this stretch of road. Will definitely want to come back for a wine tasting trip here. » CA-State Route 1 - Cambria » Hearst Memorial Beach Pier 750 Hearst Castle Rd San Simeon, CA 93452 » Big Sur Coast Gallery & Cafe 49901 Hwy 1 Big Sur, CA 93920 - Cute place, but they didn't really have food or wi-fi. But they do carry a local craft beer, Carmel Hefeweizen, and it's really good. » Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park Big Sur Station Big Sur, CA 93920 - This is where you want to camp! But reservations fill up quickly, and we didn't do that ahead of time. » Bixby Creek Bridge Hwy 1 Big Sur, CA 93920 » Veteran's Memorial Park Skyline Dr & Jefferson St Monterey, CA 93940 » Andrew Molera State Park Big Sur Station Big Sur, CA 93920 - It's a hike-in campground. Meaning it's a 5-10 minute walk from the parking lot before you can reach your camp ground. Just take that into consideration if you're planning to camp here with all your coolers and camping gear. » Monterey Bay Kayaks 2390 Hwy 1 Moss Landing, CA 95039 » Asilomar State Beach 1950 Sunset Dr Pacific Grove, CA 93950 - Watch the sun set here! Must See- Big Sur, California, USA California state route 1 State Route 1 (SR 1) is a major north-south state highway that runs along most of the Pacific coastline of the U.S. state of California. Highway 1 has several portions designated as either Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), Cabrillo Highway, Shoreline Highway, or Coast Highway. Its southern terminus is at Interstate 5 (I-5) near Dana Point in Orange County and its northern terminus is at U.S. Highway 101 (US 101) near Leggett in Mendocino County. Sorry for being away for a while, but I'm back at it again with another episode of "Anne Goes To." This time, I'm roughing it up to Big Sur! Yes, I can do nature and get dirty once in awhile. This is my third time camping (in my lifetime), and it's always a different and fun experience for me. If you guys are not familiar with Big Sur, it's in Central California along the coast via Highway 1. It starts from San Simeon and stretches to Carmel. It's definitely one of the most scenic drives I've ever taken. It's a long and windy drive but the view is breathtaking. I highly suggest you make the drive (in the daytime) at least once in your life.

Although we didn't get to actually camp in Big Sur, it was still a super fun trip. We manage to find a camp site in Monterey and explored the area. We made our tourist pit stops in Big Sur on the way back home.

- We missed the 1-fwy entrance via 101 fwy, so we had to cut through the 46 fwy so we could get take CA-1 fwy for the scenic route. However, not regretting this detour since the drive was so unreal with views that I thought were just desktop screen savers. They also have a lot of wineries in this stretch of road. Will definitely want to come back for a wine tasting trip here.

This is some of the nicest footage we've had yet! On day 8 of our 14,000km road trip, we head from San Francisco to Los Angeles through Big Sur, one of the most beautiful drives you can possibly take. Along side the Pacific Ocean, with curvy roads for over 300 miles all the way to LA. We also saw some elephant seals just because.... The next day we head straight for Beverly Hills and more specific the D.A.S.H store, owned by the famous Kardashian sisters, we even bought something! Then we had some amazing IN N OUT burger, which let me tell you it's the best possible fast food you can ever have. On the way out we talked to some Lamborghini Hurricane and Mclaren 650s owners, they basically became our best friends. This is some of the nicest footage we've had yet! On day 8 of our 14,000km road trip, we head from San Francisco to Los Angeles through Big Sur, one of the most...
This is some of the nicest footage we've had yet! On day 8 of our 14,000km road trip, we head from San Francisco to Los Angeles through Big Sur, one of the most beautiful drives you can possibly take. Along side the Pacific Ocean, with curvy roads for over 300 miles all the way to LA. We also saw some elephant seals just because.... The next day we head straight for Beverly Hills and more specific the D.A.S.H store, owned by the famous Kardashian sisters, we even bought something! Then we had some amazing IN N OUT burger, which let me tell you it's the best possible fast food you can ever have. On the way out we talked to some Lamborghini Hurricane and Mclaren 650s owners, they basically became our best friends. Seeing those two cars was just a tease for what was about to come, on the Beverly Hills Hotel driveway, 2 BUGATTI VEYRONS with incredible paint jobs, G65 AMG, FERRARI 458, and many more. Not necessarily a car sotting vlog, but the amount of nice cares in Beverly Hills is insane!! After "shopping" on Rodeo Drive we head to the Griffith Observatory to see the Hollywood sign, and take some selfies. To relax afterwards we head to Venice Beach, the boardwalk and of course Muscle Beach. We finish the day with an amazing Beverly Hills restaurant BAO Dim Sum House! Enjoy!
