May 7, 2012 The Kremlin, Moscow Владимир Путин вступил в должность Президента России. The inauguration ceremony took place in the Grand Kremlin Palace. The ceremony opened with the Russian State Flag, Presidential Standard, Russian Constitution, and the Symbol of Presidential Office were brought into the Grand Kremlin Palace's St Andrew Hall. The President-elect swore an oath of loyalty to the Russian people and was officially declared head of state by President of the Constitutional Court Valery Zorkin. Approximately 3,000 people were invited to attend the ceremony, including members of the Russian Federation Government, State Duma deputies and members of the Federation Council, Constitutional Court judges, and representatives of other federal bodies of state power. Members of Vladimir Putin's presidential election campaign team and campaign headquarters, other candidates in the 2012 presidential election, heads of diplomatic missions, members of the clergy, academic and cultural figures, art workers and public figures also attended the event. The Presidential Regiment then marked Mr Putin's inauguration with a parade on the Kremlin's Cathedral Square. The regiment celebrates the 76th anniversary of its founding today. В Большом Кремлёвском дворце состоялась торжественная церемония вступления Владимира Путина в должность Президента России. Церемония началась с торжественного внесения Государственного флага России, Штандарта Президента, Конституции России и Знака Президента России в Андреевский зал Большого Кремлёвского дворца. Избранный Президент принёс присягу на верность народу России. Председатель Конституционного Суда Валерий Зорькин объявил о вступлении Владимира Путина в должность главы Российского государства. На церемонию инаугурации приглашены около трёх тысяч человек. Среди них -- члены Правительства и Совета Федерации, депутаты Государственной Думы, судьи Конституционного Суда, представители других федеральных органов государственной власти. На мероприятии также присутствовали доверенные лица и представители избирательного штаба кандидата на должность Президента России Владимира Путина, другие кандидаты, участвовавшие в выборах Президента Российской Федерации 2012 года, главы дипломатических миссий, представители духовенства, деятели науки, культуры и искусства, общественные деятели. Затем на Соборной площади состоялось представление Президентского полка Владимиру Путину по случаю его вступления в должность главы государства. Президентский полк в этот день отмечает 76-ю годовщину со дня образования.
