Paper is feeling very thin, not that good quality but that i will test later on. I see a lot mandala-styled drawings but also some about nature. ********Review: Pictures/drawings: This is a very good book for people who just started coloring or want to give it a try. The illustrations are not that detailed as written in description at the backside of the book. The drawings are mostly very simple. A lot of mandalas but also some illustrations about nature. All images are hand-drawn and abstract. This book is printed one-sided, this makes it nice to work with markers that will bleed through. That way you'll never ruin the image on the other side of your colored page. Paper: White, smooth but very light weighted paper. All pages are perforated. That makes it easy to pull out the pages you want. ******Paper in combination with different mediums Colored pencils: Perfect! You can use any brand of colored pencil in this book without a problem. I tried prismacolor, lyra and faber castell polychromos and it was very easy to color and blend the colors together. Watercolor pencils + brush/waterbrush: Tested with faber castell aquarelle pencils. The paper really takes the water immediate. You don't have time to play with the color a bit, paper will go buckle and you have a bleed through. I don't recommend this technique in this book. Watercolor pencils + blenderpen: This will work for smaller areas but not for bigger because you will destroy the paper. It does bleed through but you can put an extra piece of paper between the pages. Normal pens/fineliners: Tested with stabilo markers. They bleed through immediately but when you put an extra white paper in between 2 pages you will not ruin your next page. Alcohol based markers: Bleed through... But these markers always bleed through in coloring books, you can color with it but then you really need to put some cardstock in between the pages. Acrylic based markers: This is ok for details, but when coloring larger images you will destroy the paper a bit. *****Conclusion: Very cute book with nice, simple illustrations of mandalas and nature. Very interesting for people who wants to start coloring or just started it. Paper is not very good quality and i only recommend to color in it with normal colored pencils. Thanks for watching !
