As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton makes history by becoming the first woman to accept a major-party presidential nomination, we speak with Rebecca Traister, writer-at-large for New York Magazine who has covered Clinton for a decade. Her most recent article is headlined "Hillary Is Poised to Make the 'Impossible Possible'—for Herself and for Women in America." We are also joined by Kshama Sawant, a Socialist city councilmember in Seattle who h...

Protests continued to break out on the floor of the Democratic National Convention Thursday, as chants of "No more war" could be heard throughout the final night. Scores of Sanders delegates wore florescent green shirts reading "Enough is Enough," which appeared to glow in the dark whenever the arena lights dimmed in between speakers. Many delegates also held signs reading "Ban Fracking Now," "#DNC Email Leaks" and "Jill Stein." Democracy Now! me...

Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly has sparked widespread condemnation over his comments that enslaved Africans who built the White House were "well fed." He made the comments on Tuesday, after first lady Michelle Obama spoke at the DNC on Monday about "wak[ing] up every morning in a house that was built by slaves." We get reaction from Princeton University professor Eddie Glaude and Georgetown University professor Michael Eric Dyson.

you are a misinformed, brainwashed Ziotroll and the world is sick and tired of the lies, deceptions and the made up history designed to mislead, misinform and program the world.  We, the intelligent awakened ones see right through the smoke and mirrors and We know there is only one truth, the Zionists, their munchkin robots (you included) exist only to spread their lies, their propaganda and are used as the spring-board from which they are attempting to take-over the entire planet in what they hope will be greater israel built on the blood and bones of billions if necessary. It is brain-dead Zombies  like you who support Genocide, War Crimes, Crimes Against Humanity, Ethnic Cleansing and Land Theft in the barren hopes of creating the Synagogue of Satan as the NJWO. Goyim are on-to all of it and WE reject all of it!  +David Hensley

Protests on the floor of the convention continued on Wednesday. They reached a peak when former CIA Director Leon Panetta took the stage. While Panetta was criticizing Donald Trump’s appeal to the Russians to hack Hillary Clinton’s emails, many delegates started chanting "No more war!" We hear Panetta’s remarks and speak to a Bernie Sanders delegate who took part in the protest.

+Big Money Seven emails from a small number of people (the information therein NEVER ACTED UPON, by the way) did not affect Sanders' chance of winning.

Really. Seven? I'm pretty certain there are more emails from the DNC leaks then just seven. Seven important individuals, maybe but more than just seven emails. Stop trying to downplay it.

Sanders' inability to fund raise early and on par with Clinton, lock up endorsements from fellow Democrats most of whom make up the down tickets and super delegates, and most of all, a failure on his part to invest heavily and early in minority communities lost him the nomination.

And where is the evidence to prove this? Care to share some.

Clinton built up such a massive lead early due to her strong performance across the South (large Black populations) that Sanders was never really able to catch up.

That, I will not deny.

That’s not the DNC’s fault. That is Bernie's team fault.

That's not what I was referring to. I was referring to the issues surrounding some of the primary like what happened in Nevada for example.

The DNC did not convince almost 4 million more people to vote for Hillary over Bernie.

My point wasn't in reference to the voters, it was in reference to the way Sanders and his supporters were treated.

The only thing that pushed Hillary over the top was copying Obama’s 2008 playbook of delegate-hunting rather than “momentum-building” to get the nomination.

Ok. Enlighten me then. Let's see such an example.

Sanders' team tried Hillary’s 2008 playbook and it got him exactly where it got Hillary in 2008, not the nominee. That’s not the DNC’s fault._

Again, what evidence?

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has made history by becoming the first woman to accept a major-party presidential nomination. "Tonight, we’ve reached a milestone in our nation’s march toward a more perfect union: the first time that a major party has nominated a woman for President," Clinton said. "Standing here as my mother’s daughter, and my daughter’s mother, I’m so happy this day has come."

Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced Wednesday she was dropping all charges against the remaining three police officers charged in the arrest and death of Freddie Gray. Gray died in April 2015 of spinal injuries after he was arrested and transported in a police van. Four officers in the case went on trial earlier this year. None were convicted on any of the charges they faced, which included murder. We get reaction from Baltimo...

...according to cnn exit polls onlt 93% of African Americans voted for Obama,...in 2012...anyway...

Considering the alternative I'd say it was a better decision. You people dont get it. The reason why we went that way was because the GOP has been (and still is) on a racially divisive crusade of their own. They have not even tried to rectify any of the problems brought to light in the "autopsy" report when they lost in 2012.
I've watched the entire primary season. Both sides, and the GOP kept on sweeping the obvious under the rug. Letting it pile up until they can no longer trip over it...they will just keep walking right into it. And still pretend it doesnt exist.

The Democratic National Convention has entered its final day. Tonight Hillary Clinton will make history when she becomes the first woman to accept a major party’s presidential nomination. On Wednesday, night her running mate Tim Kaine, President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg urged the nation to back Clinton over Donald Trump in November.

Obama had many opportunities but failed not because of character but because of the financial strings that bind him. The only thing making the trump campaign strong is anti Hillary sentiments. Sacrifice Hillary and the republicans have nothing to hang their hat on. The strong racists sentiments will back fire because that part of the trump campaign is to small a demographic.

One of the most moving moments of the DNC came Tuesday when the Mothers of the Movement gathered on the convention stage. They were the mothers of Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Jordan Davis, Mike Brown, Hadiya Pendleton, Dontré Hamilton and Sandra Bland, whose deaths spurred the Black Lives Matter movement. We hear from Geneva Reed-Veal, mother of Sandra Bland; Lucia McBath, mother Jordan Davis; and Sybrina Fulton, mother Trayvon Martin.
