As the next Australian Census approaches (9 August 2016), the Atheist Foundation of Australia (AFA) is preparing for one of its biggest and most important projects. The AFA is campaigning to encourage individuals and families to think about the importance and impact of their answer to the Census question: “What is the person’s religion?”
This is an opportunity to tell the Australian public what it means to mark the ‘No religion’ box. It’s an opportunity to get to the truth about the practice of religion in Australia. For more information about our campaign visit censusnoreligion.org.au.
The AFA needs support in this awareness campaign to promote the consideration and importance of marking ‘No religion’ on the 2016 census. We hope to get a better and more accurate representation of how religious Australia is.
- We are looking to raise $25,000 to put towards buying media so that we can get the message out to all Australian adults.
- We have already engaged the services of professional communications experts in both PR and Marketing.
- The AFA is investing in creating a clear and non-biased marketing campaign supported by a strategic PR and media plan.

Mary was in her late twenties when she first encountered Jesus giving a talk in her parents’ living room. Jesus claims she was “actually married to Mary in the first century, and was pregnant with our daughter when I died.” ... now, you may laugh and snigger at the Jesus's and Mary's you see in QLD .... but spare a thought for the minority that have to tolerate them through grinding teeth as we brutally suppress the need to stab someone ... we are not ALL like Jesus and Mary ... just the obvious noisey majority ... come the revoloution ( apologies for the turdoch media link )
