"I Love" is a song written and recorded by American country music artist Tom T. Hall. It was released in October 1973 as the only single from the album, For the People in the Last Hard Town. The song would be Hall's most successful single and was his fourth number one on the U.S. country singles chart. The single spent two weeks at the top and a total of 15 weeks on the chart. "I Love" was Hall's only entry on the Top 40 peaking at number 12.

"I Love You Always Forever" is a song by Welsh singer Donna Lewis. It was released in the United States in May 1996 as the lead single from her debut album, Now in a Minute. Inspired by the H. E. Bates novel Love for Lydia, it was successful, reaching number two on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and staying there for nine weeks during the summer of 1996, kept from number one by Los Del Rio's "Macarena". Despite this, the song was number one on the Hot 100 Airplay chart for thirteen weeks and the Top 40 Mainstream for eleven weeks, becoming one of the most played songs of the 1990s. The song therefore is tied for third place among songs with the longest runs at #2 and tied at second for most weeks at Top 40 Mainstream. The song peaked at number two on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart and at number five on the UK Singles Chart.

Donna Lewis

Donna Lewis (born 6 August 1973) is a Welsh singer-songwriter and record producer. She is best known for the 1996 pop hit single "I Love You Always Forever", which reached Number 2 in the US and Australia and the Top 5 in the UK, Canada, Austria and Norway. Lewis also teamed up with Richard Marx in the 1997 adult contemporary hit "At the Beginning." In 1997, Lewis was nominated for the Brit Award for Best British Female.

After releasing her second album Blue Planet, Lewis left Atlantic Records and independently released albums Be Still and In the Pink. Her latest album Brand New Day produced by David Torn and featuring Ethan Iverson, Reid Anderson and Dave King was released on 10 March 2015.

Biography

At the age of six, Lewis began playing the piano. Her father, an amateur jazz pianist and guitarist lent encouragement, and while still a teenager, she began composing original songs. Her formal training was at the Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales, where she majored in classical composition for piano and flute. Lewis then went on to teach music for a year in Sussex before moving to Birmingham to sing in a bar band. During that time she set up a home studio and began recording demos. Before long she became a popular live attraction and circa 1993 began sending her demos to record labels.
