Wodonga

Wodonga is a relatively small city in the Australian state of Victoria, on the border of the neighbouring state, New South Wales. Wodonga is located 300 kilometres north-east of Melbourne, the capital of Victoria. Wodonga has a population of 31,000 people,

Wodonga was founded as a customs post with neighbouring city Albury, sitting on the New South Wales side of the border, across the Murray River. Following the completion of a bridge between the two cities in 1860, Wodonga flourished and became what it is today.

Wodonga experiences mild temperatures, with an average maximum temperature of 22.2 °C, and an average minimum temperature of 8.9 °C

Charles Sturt University has a campus in Wodonga (known as the Albury-Wodonga campus), attracting students and academics alike. Wodonga is also the home of the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, a popular Australian circus troupe that combines performing arts, acrobatics and contemporary circus training.
