Much of the United Kingdom is taking a significant step towards normality this Monday.
Coronavirus restrictions are being eased across England, Wales and most of Scotland.
Pubs, restaurants, cinemas and sports venues are among the businesses being allowed to reopen their doors.
A complete lifting of COVID-19 measures is due in June.
But Prime Minister Boris Johnson has warned a new variant of the disease could put that at risk.
Al Jazeera's Jonah Hull reports from Manchester, England.

Following the end of World War II, despite witnessing a somewhat prosperous growth in the 1950s and 1960s, the UK recorded weaker growth compared to other European countries. Lack of innovation, overseas competition, low-cost manufacturing by other countries, trade unionism, the welfare state, and the decline of the British empire were all blamed as possible reasons for this outcome. By the 1970s, they were referred to as the ‘sick man of Europe’.
The video also discusses Margret Thatcher and her neo-liberal economic policies and her actions away from socialism in the United Kingdom.
The video also discusses United Kingdom's car, aerospace and pharmaceutical industries, London's financial and insurance services, investments, its comparisons with Germany and France. It also briefly points out the norther oil field and its differences how Norway managed its oil money. The video also discusses National Health Service, Fish n Chips, Pound currency, English language. The topic also discusses its economy and GDP during recent times with Brexit and UK leaving the European Union.

What does it mean to be Scottish? Since Brexit, people here at the northernmost end of the island of Great Britain have been asking this question with renewed vigour. Now, with the Scottish Parliament election approaching, many Scots see their future outside of the United Kingdom.
So how do ordinary Scottish citizens see their homeland? On her journey through Scotland, journalist Diana Zimmermann quickly learns that it is impossible to travel through the country these days without talking about Brexit. Geography and history have brought the Scots to a breaking point.
Just ask Sophie Gault, a deer-hunter whose breath-taking workplace is in the heart of the Highlands, at the foot of Ben Alder. "Being Scottish is something I’m really proud of,” says Gault, adding that taking this job was the best decision she ever made. "Being with nature and with wildlife, it makes you appreciate Scotland even more. There’s always that sense of community. And I’m very proud of our own Scottish humour.”
What does fisherman Victor Laurenson, who had hoped Brexit would bring him better fishing conditions, think of his country now? Janey Godley, a comedian from Glasgow, brings yet another perspective: In the Scottish independence referendum in 2014, she says, the English told the Scots to vote against independence so that Scotland could stay in the EU. "It’s basically like your Mum and Dad saying - look - if you go to bed early, when you wake up, you will have a pony. And you go to bed, you sleep early, you wake up and there’s just a cushion in the shape of a cat instead, and it’s not even a good cat.”

GOLF'S GREATEST ROUNDS recounts the most memorable final rounds of golf - such as the U.S. Open, PGA Championship, the Ryder Cup and NCAA Golf Championships.
The 2016 Open Championship was a men's major golf championship and the 145th Open Championship, played from 14–17 July at Royal Troon Golf Club in Ayrshire, Scotland. It was the ninth Open Championship played at the Old Course of Troon, and the fifth since gaining royal status.
Henrik Stenson shot a final round 63 for 264, a record 20-under par, three strokes ahead of runner-up Phil Mickelson, the 2013 champion. The leader after 54 holes, Stenson became the first Scandinavian man to win a major title.[2]
This was the final appearance for 1997 champion Justin Leonard.

THE PLAYERS Championship returns to TPC Sawgrass after 2020’s unprecedented cancellation after the first round due to the emerging coronavirus pandemic. Dustin Johnson - the reigning FedExCup champion and current World No. 1 - leads a field that includes 27 of the top 30 in the current FedExCup standings and 47 of the World’s top 50. With no champion crowned last year, Rory McIlroy - who would go on to win the FedExCup for the second time after winning THE PLAYERS in 2019 - will look to defend his title from two years ago. In total there will be 108 PGA TOUR winners teeing it up at TPC Sawgrass, but who will emerge victorious?
