Update: Many people asked questions about the tour to Kund Malir. Here are some general tips :
Q : Is it safe ?
A : We went in year 2015 and we saw some families there... now a days more and more families are going there. It can be as safe as any other place in the country so in my opinion same risk factor :)
Try to leave early and come back early, inshAllah you will be safe.
Q: How much expenses are for this trip?
A: Our major expense was fuel and in most of our cars more than tank was used (except for the Toyota Hybrid which has a superb milag). Other than that just bring something to eat and you will be good :)
Q: Is there food stalls or something to eat there?
A : When we went there , there was a restaurant which was just started, we did not try their food but their tea was great. I am not sure if there are more now. Hope someone can write in comments :)

1- Please note that on the way to Kund Malir there is some sensitive military facility. While I was making movie from my cell phone a passing by military convoy saw us and stopped us for investigation. They released us after I shown them that we deleted those particular videos. So just be careful and do not display your cameras on the way. Photo or video shooting at the famous spots should be OK.
2 - Please please please... keep the place clean... if you are going there with some disposable items, plastic bags etc please bring the trash back and dispose it properly. This place is beautiful let us keep it this way.

Malir Town
Malir Town (Sindhi: ملیر ٽائون Urdu: ملیر ٹاؤن ) is one of the 18 towns of Karachi City, located in the eastern part of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Malir town is bordered by the Jinnah International Airport and the Malir Cantonment to the west and north, the Malir River and Shah Faisal Town to the south and Gadap Town to the east across the Thado Nallo stream. Malir has been regarded in history as the countryside of Karachi City due to its open atmosphere and lush green farms, but now these are no more.
There are several ethnic groups in Malir Town including Sindhis, Punjabis, Muhajirs, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochis, Brahuis, Christians, Memons, Bohras, Ismailis, however Sindhi and Baloch form majority in the town.
Malir was once famous for its fruit and vegetable farms; but, now due to severe scarcity of groundwater, these farmlands are being converted into residential areas, thus increasing urbanization and environmental degradation. The Society for Conservation and Protection of Environment (SCOPE) has been concerned about drought and desertification in Malir district and has launched a campaign against illegal sand and gravel mining in dry river beds of Malir and its tributaries. Because sand and gravel mining cause lowering of ground water, as rainwater can cannot percolate in the aquifer. SCOPE is developing rainwater reservoirs in drought affected rural areas.

Kund Malir
Kund Malir is a beach in Balochistan, Pakistan near Hingol, about 145 km from Zero-Point on Makran Coastal Highway. The drive between Kund Malir and Ormara is considered to be scenic. The area is part of Hingol National Park which is the largest in Pakistan. Travelling time from Karachi is around 4 hours and there are no food and fuel facilities available on the way. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in this world. However lacking the basic facilities like hotels, restaurants, fuel stations and no cell phone signals it still is worth visiting with a really calm peaceful and soothing environment.
