Chakravarti Mahraj Dashrath Mahal, known as Bada Asthan and Badi Jagah, is at Ramkot Ayodhya Faizabad Uttar Pardesh. This is the place where Maharaja Dasarath is believed to reside with his kith and kin. Now the place houses a temple, which depicts Ram, Sita and Lakshmana, Bharat, Shatrughna as the chief deities. Though the shrine is not much bigger in size, its environment provides such serene and tranquil feeling that the devotee would be able to sense the presence of Lord Ram. Ayodhya is situated on the banks of river Sarayu. On Ram Navami, the festival that celebrates the birthday of Lord Rama, thousands of people take a dip in the Sarayu River at Ayodhya. According to Ramayana 1.5.6, the Sarayu flowed beside the ancient city of Ayodhya, which is in the modern day Uttar Pradesh. It was a tributary of the Gogra. This Sarayu played a vital role for the city and life of Ayodhya, and according to the great Sanskrit epic Ramayana, is where Rama, the seventh Avatar of Vishnu immersed himself to return to his eternal, real Mahavishnu form, when he retired from the throne of Kosala. His brothers Bharata and Shatrughna also joined him, as did many devoted followers. It is also called the only river flowing beneath the earth. In ancient times Aciravati was one of the tributaries of the Sarayu.

Ram Janmabhoomi is believed by many Hindus to be the birthplace of Rama, the 7th avatar of Vishnu in Hinduism. The Ramayana states that the location of Rama's birthplace is on the banks of the Sarayu river in the city of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.
Ayodhya is one of the seven Mokshadayini Puris (cities granting liberation) of Bharat. This is the most ancient city. It is said that Vaivaswat Manu had founded this city. This has been the capital city of the Suryavamshi Rajas (Kings of solar dynasty). Great kings and emperors like Sagar, Bhagirath, Harishchandra etc. all belong to this dynasty only.
Grand Temple on 84 black touchstone pillars constructed by Sakari Samrat Vikramaditya 2100 years ago at Sri Rama Janma Bhumi (birthplace of Sri Rama), Ayodhya dedicated to Sri Ram to glorify and perpetuate the memory of Sri Rama as a national and global hero and savior. The birthplace was marked by temples of different ages as when the old ones got ruined by vagaries of nature including the Sarayu floods new ones came up to mark the site.

ये सब किया तत्कालीन केंद्र की कांग्रेस और उत्तर प्रदेश की सपा सरकार ने॥ रामभक्तों को गोलियो से छलनी कर उनके शरीर मे बालू के बोरे बांध कर उनकी लाश सरयू मे फेक दी गयी ।
सोचिए क्या बीती होगी उस परिवार पर जिसने किसी अपने की सड़ी गली और जानवरो की खाई हुई लाशें यमुना से कई हफ़्तों बाद निकाली होगी कार सेवको को हेलीकाप्टर से चुन चुन कर निशाना बनाया गया,और गोली आँख मे या सर मे मारी गयी ॥

listen ; IAST Ayodhyā), also known as Saket, is an ancient city of India, believed to be the birthplace of Rama and setting of the epic Ramayana. It is adjacent to Faizabad city at the south end in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Ayodhya used to be the capital of the ancient Kosala Kingdom. It has an average elevation of 93 meters (305 feet).
Owing to the belief as the birthplace of Rama, Ayodhya has been regarded as one of the seven most important pilgrimage sites (Saptapuri) for Hindus. It is believed that the birth spot of Rama was marked by a temple, which was demolished by the orders of the Mughal emperor Babur and a mosque erected in its place. The Ayodhya dispute concerns the activism by the Hindu groups to rebuild a Rama's temple at the site.
Origins
Ayodhya is on the right bank of the river Sarayu, 8;km from Faizabad. This town is closely associated with Rama, seventh incarnation of Vishnu. According to the Ramayana, the city is 9,000 years old and was founded by Manu, the first man in the Vedas, and law-giver of the Hindus. Other sources hold that it was founded by its namesake, King Ayudh. It was said to be the capital of the Solar dynasty, of which Rama was the most celebrated king. At the time it was known as Kaushaldesa.

Chakravarti Mahraj Dashrath Mahal, known as Bada Asthan and Badi Jagah, is at Ramkot Ayodhya Faizabad Uttar Pardesh. This is the place where Maharaja Dasarath is believed to reside with his kith and kin. Now the place houses a temple, which depicts Ram, Sita and Lakshmana, Bharat, Shatrughna as the chief deities. Though the shrine is not much bigger in size, its environment provides such serene and tranquil feeling that the devotee would be able to sense the presence of Lord Ram. It is open for public from 8 am to 12 noon and 4 pm to 10 pm every day. Ram Vivah, Deepawali, Shravan Mela, Chaitra Ramnavami and Kartik Mela are the special occasions and the devotees manifold during these occasion. Ram Janmabhoomi is believed by many Hindus to be the birthplace of Rama, the 7th avatar of Vishnu in Hinduism. The Ramayana states that the location of Rama's birthplace is on the banks of the Sarayu river in the city of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.
Ayodhya is one of the seven Mokshadayini Puris (cities granting liberation) of Bharat. This is the most ancient city. It is said that Vaivaswat Manu had founded this city. This has been the capital city of the Suryavamshi Rajas (Kings of solar dynasty). Great kings and emperors like Sagar, Bhagirath, Harishchandra etc. all belong to this dynasty only.
Grand Temple on 84 black touchstone pillars constructed by Sakari Samrat Vikramaditya 2100 years ago at Sri Rama Janma Bhumi (birthplace of Sri Rama), Ayodhya dedicated to Sri Ram to glorify and perpetuate the memory of Sri Rama as a national and global hero and savior. The birthplace was marked by temples of different ages as when the old ones got ruined by vagaries of nature including the Sarayu floods new ones came up to mark the site.

Chota Nagpur Plateau, Ajodhya Hills (Bengali: অযোধ্যা পাহাড়), is a hill located in the Purulia district of the state West Bengal, India. It is a part of the Dalma Hills and extended part of Eastern Ghats range. Highest peak of Ajodhya Hills is Gorgaburu. The nearby populated town area is Bagmundi. It is a popular place for young mountaineers to learn the basic course in rock climbing. There are two routes available to reach Ajodhya Hills. One is via Jhalda and the other one is via Sirkabad. There is a Forest Rest House here. Gorgaburu (855 m), Mayuri etc. are of the some of the peaks of Ajodhya hills range. Near Ajodhya Hills, there is Turga Dam and the Lake, and the pleasant Bamni waterfall formed by the River Bamni. The site of the Turga Dam site is a perfect tourist spot, where the visitors can spend their day. Purulia Pumped storage project is there beside Ajodhya Hill.
