A plan is typically any diagram or list of steps with timing and resources, used to achieve an objective. See also strategy. It is commonly understood as a temporalset of intended actions through which one expects to achieve a goal. For spatial or planartopologic or topographic sets see map.
Plans can be formal or informal:
The most popular ways to describe plans are by their breadth, time frame, and specificity; however, these planning classifications are not independent of one another. For instance, there is a close relationship between the short- and long-term categories and the strategic and operational categories.
It is common for less formal plans to be created as abstract ideas, and remain in that form as they are maintained and put to use. More formal plans as used for business and military purposes, while initially created with and as an abstract thought, are likely to be written down, drawn up or otherwise stored in a form that is accessible to multiple people across time and space. This allows more reliable collaboration in the execution of the plan.

Metros and MRTS (Mass Rapid Transport System) are emerging as a major area for infrastructure development in major cities with high population (around 8 Million). The Metro Rail Project, once completed will transform Hyderabad as the preferred city in India; with integrated urban transport planning using inter modal connectivity and convenient sky-walks, which will mark the beginning of an era of seamless commuting in India.
The Hyderabad Metro Rail Network will cover a total distance of around 72 Km across three corridors:
Corridor I : Miyapur to LB Nagar
Corridor II : JBS to Falaknuma
Corridor III : Nagole to Shilparamam
The Project will be integrated with existing railway stations, suburban railway network (MMTS) and bus stations to ensure seamless and comfortable travel.
Project Highlights
• An elevated Metro Rail, with 2 tracks (up and down lines) on a deck erected on pillars in the central median of the road, without obstructing the road traffic.
• Adequate parking space and circulating areas to be provided for multi modal commute
• The proposed rail will have a maximum speed of 80 kmph, the average speed of the trains will be around 34 kmph- an international standard for MRT systems.
• The travel time by Metro Rail from one end to another will be as such:
• 45 minutes for Corridor 1 (Miyapur-L.B. Nagar- 28.87 KM) as against 1 hr 44 minutes by road.
• 22 minutes for Corridor 2 (Jubilee Bus Station- Falaknuma-14.78 Km) as against 1 hr 10 minutes by road
• 39 minutes for Corridor 3 (Nagole-Shilparamam-27.51 KM) as against 1 hr 26 minutes by road.
• Rails will of course be continuously welded in order to lessen the noise levels.

• Different categories of aesthetic stations are being designed to reflect the local architecture. As far as possible, parking and circulation areas will be developed on nearby government lands.
• Coaches will be air-conditioned with automatic door closures and many other safety features.
• Eco-friendly travel mode that will reduce air as well as noise pollution in the city terminals. Also station based junctions will be conducted with bus transport (bus rapid transit system) routes & smart card-based automatic ticketing systems.overall economy in the region.

Indira Gandhi International Airport is the primary international airport of the National Capital Region of Delhi, India, situated in Palam, 15 km (9.3 mi) south-west of the New Delhi railway station and 16 km (9.9 mi) from New Delhi city centre. Named after Indira Gandhi, a former Prime Minister of India, it is the busiest airport in India. With the commencement of operations at the new Terminal 3, it became India's and South Asia's largest aviation hub, with a current capacity of handling more than 46 million passengers. IGIA along with Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, together handle more than half of the aircraft movements in South Asia. The airport's operator, Delhi International Airport Private Limited (DIAL), is looking to make the airport the next international transit hub.
Spread over an area of 6,300 acres (2,500 ha) of land, Delhi airport serves as the primary civilian aviation hub for the National Capital Region of India. It was previously operated by the Indian Air Force before its management was transferred to the Airports Authority of India. In May 2006, the management of the airport was passed over to Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), a consortium led by the GMR Group.
In 2011–12, the airport handled 35.88 million passengers and the planned expansion program will increase its capacity to handle 100 million passengers by 2030. The new Terminal 3 building has had the capacity to handle an additional 34 million passengers annually since the start of the 2010 Commonwealth Games.Terminal 3 is the world's 8th largest passenger terminal. In September 2008, the airport inaugurated a 4,430 m (14,530 ft) runway. In 2010, Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) was conferred the fourth best airport award in the world in the 15–25 million category, and Best Improved Airport in the Asia-Pacific Region by Airports Council International. In years 2012,2013 and 2014, the IGIA was ranked the second-best airport in the world in the 25–40 million passengers category, again by Airports Council International. Also in 2011 (the last year that full statistics from ACI are available), the airport was the 34th busiest in the world with 34,729,467 passengers handled, registering a 17.8% growth in traffic over the previous year. The airport uses an advanced system called Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) to help keep takeoffs and landings timely and predictable.
Designed by HOK working in consultation with Mott MacDonald, the new Terminal 3 is a two-tier building spread over an area of 20 acres (8.1 ha), with the bottom floor being the arrivals area, and the top being a departures area. This terminal has 168 check-in counters, 78 aerobridges at 48 contact stands, 54 parking bays, 95 immigration counters, 15 X-ray screening areas, for less waiting times, duty-free shops, and other features.Over 90% of passengers will use this terminal when completed. This new terminal had been completed in time for the 2010 Commonwealth Games, which were held in Delhi, and will be connected to Delhi by an eight-lane motorway (National Highway 8), and the Delhi Metro. The terminal was officially inaugurated on 3 July 2010, and there were nine flights to test the operational readiness of the new terminal and its ground handling capabilities. All international airlines shifted their operations to the new terminal in late July 2010, and all full service domestic carriers mid November onwards. The arrival area is equipped with 14 baggage carousels.
Opened in 2010, Terminal 3, a state-of-the-art and integrated future terminal, is the 24th largest building in the worldand 8th largest passenger terminal. It occupies an area of 502,000 m2 (5,400,000 sq ft), with a capacity to handle 34 million passengers annually.T3 has India's first automated parking management and guidance system in a multi level car park, which comprises 7 levels and a capacity of 4,300 carsTerminal 3 will form the first phase of the airport expansion in which a 'U' shaped building will be developed in a modular manner. In 2010, all international and full service domestic carriers started operating from Terminal 3, while Terminal 1 is dedicated to low cost operations. In subsequent stages, the low cost carriers will also move to the new terminal complex.
The much awaited go ahead for the domestic airlines to start operations from the new T3 terminal has been given. After passing many hurdles Air India which is also the national carrier started its domestic operations from the new T3 terminal from 11 November 2010. Two other airlines, Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines, moved their domestic operations to the new terminal on 14 November 2010. Terminal 1D is now used exclusively by low cost carrier airlines including GoAir.

Navi Mumbai International Airport is a proposed greenfield international airport, to be built in the Kopra-Panvel area of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) is the nodal agency for the project which will be built through public–private partnership (PPP) on a 'design, build, finance, operate and transfer' (DBFOT) basis.
The airport project, aimed at easing air traffic congestion at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, has been delayed due to property disputes. The project, spread over 1,160 hectares, still has 247 hectares left to be acquired that is being negotiated between the government and the project affected people (PAP) from five villages. They are yet to accept the government's compensation. CIDCO, however, floated a global request for qualification (RFQ) for the project on 5 February 2014. The private sector partner will hold 74% equity in the airport while the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and CIDCO each holding 13%.

Metrolink (also known as Manchester Metrolink) is a tram/light rail system in Greater Manchester, England. The network consists of seven lines which radiate from Manchester city centre to termini at Altrincham, Ashton-under-Lyne, Bury, Didsbury, Eccles, Manchester Airport and Rochdale. The system is owned by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) and operated and maintained under contract by RATP Group. Metrolink has 92 stops along 57 miles (92 km) of standard-gauge track making it the largest light rail system in the United Kingdom and one of the largest modern tram networks in Europe. In 2013/14, 29.2 million passenger journeys were made on the system.
A light rail system for Greater Manchester was borne of Greater Manchester County Council's obligations to provide "an integrated and efficient system of public transport" under its structure plan and the Transport Act 1968. Greater Manchester's public transport network suffered from poor north–south connections, exacerbated by the location of Manchester's main railway stations, Piccadilly and Victoria, which were unconnected and lay at opposite edges of central Manchester.

Miami Opa Locka Airport - amazing home of classic props and jets! [AirClips SlideShows]
Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport (IATA: OPF, ICAO: KOPF, FAA LID: OPF) (formerly Opa-locka Airport and Opa-locka Executive Airport until 2014) is in Miami-Dade County, Florida 11 miles north of downtown Miami. Part of the airport is in the city limits of Opa-locka. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 called it a general aviation reliever airport.
The FAA-contract control tower is manned from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The airport has four fixed base operators. It is owned by Miami-Dade County and operated by the Miami-Dade Aviation Department.
The sole remaining military activity at the airport is Coast Guard Air Station Miami, operating from federal property not deeded to the county and operating the HC-144 Ocean Sentry turboprops and MH-65 Dolphin helicopters for coastal patrol, embarks aboard medium endurance and high endurance coast guard cutters, and air-sea rescue. Much of CGAS Miami's facilities were built during World War II as part of Naval Air Station Miami.
DayJet provided on-demand jet air taxi service to 44 airports in 5 states; it filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation in 2008.
The airport is served by several cargo and charter airlines who use the U. S. customs facility. Maintenance and modification of airliners up to Boeing 747 size are carried out by several aviation firms.

Bradley International Airport
Bradley International Airport (IATA: BDL, ICAO: KBDL, FAA LID: BDL) is a public and military use airport in Windsor Locks on the border with East Granby and Suffield, in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. Owned and operated by the Connecticut Airport Authority, it is the second-largest airport in New England.
The airport is about halfway between Hartford and Springfield. It is Connecticut's busiest commercial airport with 350 daily operations, and the second-busiest airport in New England after Boston's Logan International Airport. The four largest carriers at Bradley International Airport are Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, and US Airways with market shares of 28%, 15%, 11%, and 10% respectively. As a dual-use military facility with the U.S. Air Force, the airport is also home to Bradley Air National Guard Base and the 103d Airlift Wing (103 AW) of the Connecticut Air National Guard.

Manchester Metrolink
Manchester Metrolink
