This delightful song was composed by J. Schrammel, one of two distinguished violinists from northwestern Austria. Josef Schrammel (1852-1895) and his brother Johann Schrammel (1850-1893) became sensations early in their musical careers, earning wild popularity for their "Schrammelmusik," also known as "Schrammel euphoria." The brothers formed a well-known performing ensemble with Anton Strohmeyer on guitar and Georg Danzer on clarinet. This tune is performed upon my vintage 1950's Hohner Tango II M, a 3/5 reed accordion featuring LMM reeds and 34/96 treble key and bass button configuration.

Another well-known march, this time 'Wien bleibt Wien', composed by Johann Schrammel in the late 1800s, often translated as 'Vienna Forever', or literally translated as 'Vienna remains Vienna', is played here on a 1920s-vintage Hugo Popper 'Happy Jazzband' Orchestrion Welt-Piano Konzertist, made in Leipzig, Germany.
They were created by adding a 'jazz band percussion effect' top cabinet to a Welt coin piano model. The instrument plays music from 88 note or 88 hole rolls, of an identical size to Arburo rolls, and in addition to the piano, has percussion and trap effects such as muted cymbal, snare drum, triangle and wood block.
Part of what makes these Popper Orchestrions outstanding is the attention to detail of ensuring the percussion effects are expressive - that is for example, rather than a simple pneumatic beating a drum, the beater has its distance from the drum altered continuously according to holes in the roll, by means of a separate expression pneumatic. The resulting music is therefore very much less mechanical than in some other orchestrions.
The trackerbar's 88 holes are allocated on this particular instrument as follows:

David (/ˈdeɪvɪd/; Hebrew: דָּוִד, Modern David, Tiberian Dāwîḏ;ISO 259-3 Dawid; Arabic: داوُد Dāwūd; Syriac: ܕܘܝܕ Dawid; Ancient Greek: Δαυίδ; Latin: Davidus, David; Strong's: Daveed) was, according to the Books of Samuel, the second king of the United Kingdom of Israel, and according to the New Testament, an ancestor of Jesus. His life is conventionally dated to c. 1040 – 970 BCE, his reign over Judah c. 1010–970 BCE.
The Books of Samuel, 1 Kings, and 1 Chronicles are the only Old Testament sources of information on David, although the Tel Dan Stele (dated c. 850–835 BCE) contains the phrase בית דוד (bytdwd), read as "House of David", which many scholars confirm to be a likely plausible match to the existence in the mid-9th century BCE of a Judean royal dynasty called the House of David.
Depicted as a valorous warrior of great renown, and a poet and musician credited for composing much of the psalms contained in the Book of Psalms, King David is widely viewed as a righteous and effective king in battle and civil justice. He is described as a man after God's own heart in 1 Samuel 13:14 and Acts 13:22.

Vienna (
i/viˈɛnə/;German: Wien, pronounced [viːn]) is the capital and largest city of Austria, and one of the nine states of Austria. Vienna is Austria's primary city, with a population of about 1.8 million (2.6 million within the metropolitan area, nearly one third of Austria's population), and its cultural, economic, and political centre. Wien bleibt Wien - Vienne reste Vienne - J. Schrammel
This delightful song was composed by J. Schrammel, one of two distinguished violinists from northwestern Austria. Josef Schrammel (1852-1895) and his brother Johann Schrammel (1850-1893) became sensations early in their musical careers, earning wild popularity for their "Schrammelmusik," also known as "Schrammel euphoria." The brothers formed a well-known performing ensemble with Anton Strohmeyer on guitar and Georg Danzer on clarinet. This tune is performed upon my vintage 1950's Hohner Tango II M, a 3/5 reed accordion featuring LMM reeds and 34/96 treble key and bass button configuration. Another well-known march, this time 'Wien bleibt Wien', composed by Johann Schrammel in the late 1800s, often translated as 'Vienna Forever', or literally translated as 'Vienna remains Vienna', is played here on a 1920s-vintage Hugo Popper 'Happy Jazzband' Orchestrion Welt-Piano Konzertist, made in Leipzig, Germany.
They were created by adding a 'jazz band percussion effect' top cabinet to a Welt coin piano model. The instrument plays music from 88 note or 88 hole rolls, of an identical size to Arburo rolls, and in addition to the piano, has percussion and trap effects such as muted cymbal, snare drum, triangle and wood block.
Part of what makes these Popper Orchestrions outstanding is the attention to detail of ensuring the percussion effects are expressive - that is for example, rather than a simple pneumatic beating a drum, the beater has its distance from the drum altered continuously according to holes in the roll, by means of a separate expression pneumatic. The resulting music is therefore very much less mechanical than in some other orchestrions.
The trackerbar's 88 holes are allocated on this particular instrument as follows:

Wien bleibt Wien - Vienne reste Vienne - J. Schrammel
This delightful song was composed by J. Schrammel, one of two distinguished violinists from northwestern Austria. Josef Schrammel (1852-1895) and his brother Johann Schrammel (1850-1893) became sensations early in their musical careers, earning wild popularity for their "Schrammelmusik," also known as "Schrammel euphoria." The brothers formed a well-known performing ensemble with Anton Strohmeyer on guitar and Georg Danzer on clarinet. This tune is performed upon my vintage 1950's Hohner Tango II M, a 3/5 reed accordion featuring LMM reeds and 34/96 treble key and bass button configuration. Another well-known march, this time 'Wien bleibt Wien', composed by Johann Schrammel in the late 1800s, often translated as 'Vienna Forever', or literally translated as 'Vienna remains Vienna', is played here on a 1920s-vintage Hugo Popper 'Happy Jazzband' Orchestrion Welt-Piano Konzertist, made in Leipzig, Germany.
They were created by adding a 'jazz band percussion effect' top cabinet to a Welt coin piano model. The instrument plays music from 88 note or 88 hole rolls, of an identical size to Arburo rolls, and in addition to the piano, has percussion and trap effects such as muted cymbal, snare drum, triangle and wood block.
Part of what makes these Popper Orchestrions outstanding is the attention to detail of ensuring the percussion effects are expressive - that is for example, rather than a simple pneumatic beating a drum, the beater has its distance from the drum altered continuously according to holes in the roll, by means of a separate expression pneumatic. The resulting music is therefore very much less mechanical than in some other orchestrions.
The trackerbar's 88 holes are allocated on this particular instrument as follows:

Nach Wien machen unsere Chaoten Bratislava unsicher. Nach einem kurzen Stop im Pengym geht es erst einmal futtern. Dabei erfahren wir, wie es David mit der Treue so hält. Steve würde derweil gerne angeln, ob nun Fische oder heiße Slowakinnen, das bleibt unbeantwortet. Daraus wurde jedoch vorläufig nix, dafür angelte er sich zurück im Gym einen kleinen "dicken" Slowaken Roman Vavrecan, der Steve im Training richtig rannimmt. Rannehmen würde Steve sicher auch gerne die vielen Damen im Gym, deren ernsthaftes und ambitioniertes Training ihn sichtlich beeindruckt. Steve würde derweil gerne angeln, ob nun Fische oder heiße Slowakinnen, das bleibt unbeantwortet. Daraus wurde jedoch vorläufig nix, dafür angelte er sich zurück im Gym einen kleinen "dicken" Slowaken Roman Vavrecan, der Steve im Training richtig rannimmt. Rannehmen würde Steve sicher auch gerne die vielen Damen im Gym, deren ernsthaftes und ambitioniertes Training ihn sichtlich beeindruckt. Zum Ende des Videos dürft ihr dann noch eine Lehrstunde in Englisch nehmen.

UN declares Somalia free of polio disease

Mogadishu, Aug 14 . The United Nations World Health Organisation (WHO) said on Sunday it had not recorded any case of polio disease in Somalia in the last three years, declaring the country polio free. The WHO said the country recorded the last case of polio in 2014 in the central part of the country but has since then remained free of the paralyzing disease ...
