Pakistan PM: We will never leave Kashmiris alone

Islamabad, July 20, IRNA - “We will never leave Kashmiris alone and their case will be fought at all the diplomatic, political and human rights fields,” said Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday, called as 'Black Day' on the occasion of ongoing bloody violence in Kashmir.

In a message on Black Day to protest against recent developments in Indian Kashmir, he said that Pakistan stands with Kashmiris in every hour of trial, adding that this relation is based not only on religion, civilization and humanity but also on blood.

He added that Pakistan cannot keep itself aloof if such recurrent inhuman treatment meted out to the Kashmiris in Indian Kashmir.

During past 11 days, at least 45 have been killed in Indian-held Kashmir violence.

The Prime Minister said, 'Today, the whole Pakistan nation would hold a big, country-wide rally to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people.'

He said the current freedom wave in Kashmir will not subside and that when nations rise in such a way, nothing can stop them in their path towards freedom. “India has no other option but to accept its defeat before the heroic struggle,” he said.

The Prime Minister further lamented that the international conscience was in deep slumber over such gross human rights violations.

The Prime Minister called upon the international community to give special attention to the status of Pakistan as a stakeholder to the issue and as acknowledged by the UN.
