Christianity is an Abrahamic monotheisticreligion based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ as presented in the New Testament. Christianity is the world's largest religion, with over 2.4 billion adherents, known as Christians. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God and the savior of humanity whose coming as Christ or the Messiah was prophesied in the Old Testament.
Christian theology is expressed in ecumenical creeds. These professions of faith state that Jesus suffered, died, was buried, and was resurrected from the dead, in order to grant eternal life to those who believe in him and trust in him for the remission of their sins. The creeds further maintain that Jesus bodily ascended into heaven, where he reigns with God the Father, and that he will return to judge the living and dead and grant eternal life to his followers. His ministry, crucifixion and resurrection are often referred to as "the gospel", meaning "good news". The term gospel also refers to written accounts of Jesus's life and teaching, four of which—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—are considered canonical and included in the Christian Bible.
William Lane Craig (/kreɪɡ/; born August 23, 1949) is an American Christian apologist, analytic Christian philosopher, and theologian. Craig's philosophical work focuses primarily on philosophy of religion, but also on metaphysics and philosophy of time. His theological interests are in historical Jesus studies and philosophical theology. He is known for his debates on the existence of God with public figures such as Christopher Hitchens and Lawrence Krauss.
Craig established an online apologetics ministry, ReasonableFaith.org. His current research deals with divine aseity and the challenge posed by Platonist accounts of abstract objects. Craig is also an author of several books, including Reasonable Faith, which began as a set of lectures for his apologetics classes.
Craig is the second of three children born to Mallory and Doris Craig in Peoria, Illinois. His father's work with the T. P. & W. railroad took the family to Keokuk, Iowa, until his transfer to the home office in East Peoria in 1960. While a student at East Peoria Community High School (1963–67) Craig became a championship debater and public speaker, being named his senior year to the all-state debate team and winning the state championship in oratory. In September 1965, his junior year, he converted to Christianity, and after graduating from high school, attended Wheaton College, a Christian college, majoring in communications. Craig graduated in 1971 and the following year married his wife Jan, whom he met on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ. In 2014, he was named alumnus of the year by Wheaton.

This is a basic introduction to core Christian beliefs: a list of beliefs that will be challenged using 2 or more Bible verses to prove or disprove each one in future videos.
The Christian faith is complex -- (Adam & Eve, Abraham, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit) -- but can it's basic core be explained simply in 2 minutes? You be the judge :) ---script--- What is Christianity? Christianity teaches that there is only one God and that "in the beginning" this God spoke the entire universe into existence. On earth God creates two people, a man and woman, named Adam and Eve. They are to tend the garden in which they live, and are free to eat from any tree except the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Sometime later Eve is tempted by Satan and eats from this tree. Then Adam eats from it too. It's at this point that the two become aware, and "understand good and evil," evidenced by a new shame of their nakedness. Disobeying God results in them being expelled from the Ga...

What Are Docetism, Apollinarianism, Ebionism, and Eutychianism? What Were Some of the Early Beliefs About the Deity and Humanity of Christ? Docetism, Apollinarianism, Ebionism, and Eutychianism (also known as Monophysitism) are all false views of the relationship between Jesus' deity and humanity. Each of these views was rejected by the early church in the various early church councils. It is impossible for us to fathom how Jesus Christ can be both 100 percent God and 100 percent man at the same time. That is the mystery of the hypostatic union. Each of these false views fails in that it overemphasizes or underemphasizes Jesus’ deity or humanity. Docetism is the view that Jesus was God, but not human. Docetists essentially taught that Jesus only appeared to be human, but He in fact was n...
What Are Sabellianism, Modalism, and Monarchianism? What Were Some of the Early Beliefs About the Trinity? One of the most hotly debated theological issues in the early Christian church was the doctrine of the Trinity. How do God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit relate to one another? How can there only be one God, but three Persons? All of the various early heresies resulted from individuals overemphasizing or underemphasizing various aspects of the Godhead. Ultimately, all of these false views result from attempts by finite human beings to fully understand an infinite God (Romans 11:33-36). Sabellianism, Modalism, and Monarchianism are just three of the numerous false views. Monarchianism had two primary forms, Dynamic Monarchianism and Modalistic Monarchianism. Dynamic...

What Is Christian Rationalism? What Are the Core Beliefs of Christian Rationalism? Who Was the Founder of Christian Rationalism? One thing is certain about “Christian Rationalism”—there is nothing Christian about it. Christian Rationalism claims to be a science and a philosophy, not a religion, and makes no pretense to be “Christian” at all in the sense of believing in and following Christ, worshipping Him, and obeying His commands. Like all false religions, Christian Rationalism rejects the deity of Christ, the Bible as the Word of God, and salvation by faith in Christ alone. According to the Christian Rationalism website, thousands of years ago great men driven by ideals of reform tried with their teachings to enlighten humanity. Men such as Jesus, Buddha, Confucius and Mohammed taught...
