Mara Davi is an actress, singer and dancer who made her Broadway debut as Maggie Winslow in the 2006 revival of A Chorus Line.
Davi grew up in Colorado and her family moved to Folsom, California, where she attended Folsom High School. She appeared in numerous regional productions including: Annie, The Sound of Music, Gypsy, Baby, Grease, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
She was accepted into CSU Fullerton where, during her sophomore year, she was chosen for the lead in the U.S. and Japan tour of 42nd Street.
Davi joined The Drowsy Chaperone on Broadway on July 30, 2007 succeeding Sutton Foster in the lead role of Janet van de Graaff. In March 2008, she was featured in the premiere of the musical stage version of The Band Wagon at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, in the role played by Cyd Charisse.
She then returned to New York for the May 2008 Encores! concert presentation of No, No, Nanette in the title role, playing alongside Rosie O'Donnell, Sandy Duncan, Shonn Wiley, and Fred Willard. In 2012 she was in a musical adaptation of The Toxic Avenger at The Alley Theatre. The Toxic Avenger musical plans on transferring on Broadway in the near future.
A Chorus Line is a musical with music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Edward Kleban and a book by James Kirkwood, Jr. and Nicholas Dante. Centred on seventeen Broadway dancers auditioning for spots on a chorus line, the musical is set on the bare stage of a Broadway theatre during an audition for a musical. A Chorus Line provides a glimpse into the personalities of the performers and the choreographer as they describe the events that have shaped their lives and their decisions to become dancers.
Following several workshops and an Off-Broadway production, A Chorus Line opened at the Shubert Theatre on Broadway July 25, 1975, directed and choreographed by Michael Bennett. An unprecedented box office and critical hit, the musical received twelve Tony Award nominations and won nine, in addition to the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
The original Broadway production ran for 6,137 performances, becoming the longest-running production in Broadway history until surpassed by Cats in 1997, and the longest-running Broadway musical originally produced in the US, until surpassed in 2011 by Chicago. It remains the sixth longest-running Broadway show ever. A Chorus Line's success has spawned many successful productions worldwide. It began a lengthy run in the West End in 1976 and was revived on Broadway in 2006, and in the West End in 2013.
The Broadway was a mid-level department store chain headquartered in Los Angeles, California, United States of America. Founded in 1896 by English born Arthur Letts, Sr., who later went on to develop Holmby Hills, The Broadway became one of the dominant retailers in Southern California and the Southwest. In 1950, the company merged with Sacramento-based Hale Brothers to form Broadway-Hale Stores.
The Broadway bought out competitors in Los Angeles (B.H. Dyas, Milliron's, and Coulter's), San Diego (Marston's), and Phoenix (Korrick's). In later years The Broadway opened stores in Nevada (Las Vegas), New Mexico, and Colorado. In 1979, it was split into two divisions: The Broadway Southern California, based in Los Angeles; and Broadway Southwest, headquartered in Phoenix (for the non-California stores).
The Broadway's parent Carter Hawley Hale Stores ran into financial difficulties which resulted from poor management decisions and hostile takeover attempts. In 1996 the chain was acquired by Federated Department Stores and the majority of locations were converted to the Macy's nameplate. Several stores in affluent areas where Macy's already had locations were closed, refurbished and reopened as Bloomingdale's, while Federated sold many of the remaining stores to Sears.
"Princess Party" is the 15th episode of the American comedy television series, Modern Family's second season and the 39th overall. It originally aired on February 16, 2011 on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). The episode was written by Elaine Ko and was directed by Michael Spiller.
The episode revolves around the guest list for Lily's princess-themed birthday party which gets a little out of hand when Mitchell decides to invite his mom, much to Claire's dismay, and disinvite Fizbo, much to Cameron's dismay. Things get even more strange when DeDe shows up with Claire's old high school boyfriend in tow, and Jay and Gloria each turn to their own unique methods of dealing with this gathering of misfits.
"Princess Party" received mixed reviews with TV Squad writer Joel Keller calling it "one of the funniest episodes of the season". The episode saw a significant drop in the ratings from the previous episode, "Bixby's Back" which reached a series high.
At the Dunphy's Claire (Julie Bowen) is going berserk because grandma DeDe (Shelley Long) is coming, so Phil (Ty Burrell) is arranging for the children to get off her back and orders Luke (Nolan Gould) to be extra-charming to ward off any unpleasant situation. When DeDe arrives she starts annoying Claire. Later on it turns out that DeDe ran into Robby (Matt Dillon), Claire's old boyfriend, and invited him for dinner, neglecting to tell him that she is married with children much to his surprise. Robby is a limo driver that has kept his good looks and taunts Phil. During dinner he starts telling anecdotes of his and Claire's escapades which reveal how much she was out of control when growing up, to the amazement of Phil and amusement of her children. After dinner is finally over, DeDe walks Robby out to his limo and Claire notices that he left his phone, and as she goes to give it back, Phil and Claire see DeDe and Robby kissing.

Do you believe in miracles?,
Do you believe in Love?
How ‘bout things that last forever,
Do you think that could be us?
And as we are joined together on this very special day
In front of friends and family, who gives this bride away?
Girl forever…is a long, long time
I can’t see it any other way in my heart and in my mind
Will our love light burn strong and bright, surviving every rain?
Will our love stand tall, just like a wall, against our fears and pain?
Will you be there to catch me, if I should ever fall?
Will you swear your love to God above because he’s behind it all?
Girl forever,.. is a long, long time
I can’t see it any other way in my heart and in my mind.
As the river flows, safely to the sea…
That’s the way a love can be, with you and me….
Here comes the bride, all dressed in white
With her man by her side. For the rest of their lives…
Yes we believe in miracles and we believe in love
And if one thing lasts forever, I am sure it will be us…
And whenever I hear church bells, it will take me to this day
When I pledged my love forever, and you gave away your name
Here comes the bride…… all dressed in white
With her man by her side, for the rest of their lives……
