February 11,
1963 a new experimental Army unit, combining light infantry with integral helicopter transport and air support was formed and trained at
Ft. Benning, Georgia. Shows training of soldiers and helicopter pilots.

Airmobile) Formed:
In a matter of days the 1st Cavalry Airmobile Division (New
First Team) was ordered to Vietnam. By bus, by train, and by military vehicle convoys the 1st Cavalry Division headed to seaports to become the first full division of U.S. troops sent to Vietnam.
