Chaos (mythology)

In Greek mythology, Chaos (Greek: Χάος), the primeval void, was the first thing which existed. According to Hesiod, "at first Chaos came to be" (or was) "but next" (possibly out of Chaos) came Gaia, Tartarus, and Eros. Unambiguously born "from Chaos" were Erebus (Darkness) and Nyx (Night).

The Greek word "chaos" (χάος), a neuter noun, means "yawning" or "gap", but what, if anything, was located on either side of this chasm is unclear. For Hesiod, Chaos, like Tartarus, though personified enough to have born children, was also a place, far away, underground and "gloomy", beyond which lived the Titans. And, like the earth, the ocean, and the upper air, It was also capable of being affected by Zeus' thunderbolts.

For the Roman poet Ovid, Chaos was an unformed mass, where all the elements were jumbled up together in a "shapeless heap".

According to Hyginus, Chaos was born of Mist, and from Chaos and Caligine, came Night, Day, Erebus and Aether. An Orphic tradition apparently had Chaos as the son of Chronus and Ananke.

dMp Arc

Height 189 cm./6' 1,5'. Is the real head of D.M.P. Brazilian by birth, Ricardo is a great fighter and has an enviable technique, especially for his finishing move, the Brazilian headknock, which killed before his master Pashango, who had discovered that Ricardo was a member of the DMP. He enrolled in the tournament so Chojin and manages to defeat Sly-SKRAPER and Jeager, revealing to the general public as the true head of the DMP and the last one left. After this challenge Kid that is put into serious difficulty by Ricardo since he can not even use the Muscle Millennium because the Brazilian cut all the ropes of the ring. When all seems lost, with the strength of the friendship of Jaeger, who asked Kid to avenge him he succeeded he beat him with his Muscle Millenium and to get to the finals where he will meet Kevin Mask. During the tournament goes to great lengths to make themselves believe the Muscle League, but the trick does not work.

Shadow Galactica

Shadow Galactica (シャドウ・ギャラクティカ, Shadō Gyarakutika) is a group of fictional characters who serve as antagonists in the Sailor Moon manga series created by Naoko Takeuchi. They are the final antagonists of the series' fifth story arc, called Stars in the original manga and Sailor Moon Sailor Stars in its anime adaptation. Shadow Galactica is first introduced in chapter #43 "Stars 1", originally published in Japan on September 6, 1996.

Shadow Galactica as an organization devotes itself to stealing "starseeds", the essence of sentient life, from all in the universe. Its members are lead by Sailor Galaxia and have the ultimate goal of reorganizing the universe in the image that Chaos desires. The musicals state that they have already conquered 80% of the Milky Way galaxy, and all 88 constellations - with only Sailor Moon's solar system remaining. Sailor Galaxia's castle, Galatica Palace (ギャラクティカ・パレス, Gyarakutika Paresu), serves as Shadow Galactica's base of operations in the manga. Galactica Palace is located at the Galactic Center, in Sagittarius Zero Star, and it is built around the Galaxy Cauldron, the birthplace of all life in the Milky Way. In the anime, Shadow Galactica's base is Galaxy TV (銀河ＴＶ, Ginga Terebi, lit. "Silver River TV").

Sam is a 1986 American short documentary film directed by Aaron D. Weisblatt. It focuses on Sam Phelps, a New York State farmer who is opposed to the destruction of a nearby watershed, and argues for better planning and land management. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short.

Life with Derek

Life with Derek is a Canadian television sitcom that aired on Family (English) and VRAK.TV (French) in Canada and on Disney Channel in the United States. The series premiered on Family on September 18, 2005, and ran for four seasons, ending its run on March 25, 2009. The series starred Michael Seater and Ashley Leggat as the two oldest children in a stepfamily. It ended with 70 episodes and one spin-off television film, entitled Vacation with Derek.

Premise

George Venturi (John Ralston), a divorced man from London, Ontario who had custody of his three children from a previous marriage: sons Derek (Michael Seater) and Edwin (Daniel Magder), and daughter Martie (Ariel Waller), marries a divorced woman named Nora McDonald (Joy Tanner), who has two daughters of her own from a previous marriage: Casey (Ashley Leggat) and Lizzie (Jordan Todosey). Up until that point, Casey was perfectly content with her life. Growing up as the oldest child in a household in Toronto, Ontario with only her mother and sister had suited her well and brought her up as a self-sufficient and independent young woman.

Confusion (novella)

Confusion (German:Verwirrung der Gefühle), also known under the literal translation Confusion of Feelings, and as Episode in the Early Life of Privy Councillor D. is a 1927 novella by the Austrian writer Stefan Zweig. It tells the story of a student and his friendship with a professor. It was originally published in the omnibus volume Conflicts: Three Tales, together with two other Zweig novellas, Twenty-Four Hours in the Life of a Woman and Untergang eines Herzens. It was included on Le Monde's 100 Books of the Century

Plot

Roland, the narrator, begins the story after he becomes an English professor years after the central action takes place. Roland explains that he was a poor student and how he would end up intoxicated on the streets of Berlin. His father then sends him off to university in the country.
