Miracle of Sound

Gavin Dunne, better known by the name of his music project "Miracle of Sound", is an Irish indie musician known for his music inspired by video games, films and TV shows. While not widely known in his home country of Ireland, his music is very popular with the online gaming community, and he has been described as Ireland's most successful indie musician. Miracle of Sound is generally a one-man-band, though he occasionally collaborates with other musicians and singers, such as his 2011 collaboration with Malukah on his song "Legends of the Frost". His songs vary widely in genre, typically using the genre that best fits the song's subject; these have included rock, pop, electronic rock, hard rock, heavy metal, alternative rock, dubstep, jazz and even doo-wop. He is the son of late Irish poet Seán Dunne.

2011-2014

After the breakup of his previous band "Lotus Lullaby", Gavin became inspired by the video games he was playing and wrote several songs based on his favorite games.

Mass Effect 3

Mass Effect 3 is a 2012 science fiction action role-playing third person shooter video game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U. Officially announced on December 11, 2010, the game was released March 6, 2012 and marks the final chapter in the original Mass Effect trilogy of video games, completing the story of Commander Shepard. A Wii U version was announced during Nintendo's conference at E3 2012. The Wii U port was developed by Australian developer Straight Right, and was released as a Wii U launch game under the title Mass Effect 3: Special Edition.

The combat system in Mass Effect 3 was changed and refined from previous titles. In particular, the cover system was improved, additional options for traversing the battlefield and scoring instant melee kills were added, more conventional grenades are available, and improved artificial intelligence was introduced. A four player multiplayer co-op mode is also available. Gameplay in Mass Effect 3 is influenced by decisions made in Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, for players who have completed those games.

John Bain (born 8 July 1984), commonly known by his online aliases TotalBiscuit, The Cynical Brit, and TotalHalibut, is a British gaming commentator and critic on YouTube, known for his role in professional casting for games such as StarCraft II and PlanetSide 2, as well as for his regular gaming commentary videos. According to Eurogamer, his video commentary on newly developed indie games and analysis of gaming news has led to him having a large following. Bain is renowned for his candid, first impression critique of popular video games, where he has voiced strong approval for consumer protection in the gaming industry. On 13 March 2013, he hit the milestone of one million subscribers on his YouTube channel, an occasion for which he released a half-hour-long video discussing many aspects of his life.

The main source of Bain's publicity is his primary YouTube channel, where he posts what he describes as "variety gaming content" as part of the YouTube gaming network Polaris. His most popular videos belong to his "WTF is...?" series, a series of first impressions on video games. He has been described by Will Porter of Eurogamer as a "champion of indie gaming" and YouTube's foremost "love him or hate him" personality. The same critic suggested Bain's online popularity is due to his voice having a "tone of authority", while Bain himself believes that his candour and personality are key to his success. In January 2015 Totalbiscuit was the top Steam curator with over 400,000 followers, more than the next three highest combined.

Deadworld

Deadworld is an ongoing American comic book published by Desperado Publishing in association with IDW Publishing.

The series follows survivors in a post-apocalyptic scenario brought on by zombie attacks. Led by King Zombie, Deadworld brings forth a different slant than just humans slaughtering zombies.

Publication history

Originally published by Arrow Comics, Deadworld was written and created by Stuart Kerr and Ralph Griffith in 1987, scripted by Kerr for the first seven issues and illustrated by Vince Locke. The comic book quickly became a cult favorite success in the independent publisher industry.

Arrow Comics ceased production of all titles, but sold the rights of the title to Locke who transferred the rights to Gary Reed's Caliber Comics. By the twelfth issue of the title, Reed took over as the primary writer. The first volume of Deadworld ended in 1992 after twenty-six issues. One year later, a second volume began. The second volume ended after fifteen issues.
