A Perth cyclist who ran over an elderly woman as she walked across the street in Mount Hawthorn on Friday afternoon has told the neighbouring publican, he had no chance to react.
CCTV footage of the incident, which emerged on Monday, shows the cyclist colliding with the 92-year-old woman as she crossed Scarborough Beach Road.

CCTV: cyclist and pedestrian accident
CCTV footage captures the moment a cyclist and pedestrian crash into each other along Scarborough Beach road on Friday.
The crash was captured on cameras installed at The Paddington Ale House.
The manager of the pub told WAtoday that although he did not witness the incident, the cyclist had come into the bar to explain the collision was an accident, and that he did not have time to swerve.
The footage shows the cyclist rushing to help the woman, and staying with her until she was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Moments before the incident, he appears to not have his hands on the bicycle handles.
The woman reportedly sustained major bruising and a wound to her head which will require plastic surgery.
Her daughter, Rosalie Cowland, told 7 News Perth her mother, Halina Lichocik, had been "thrown like a rag doll" during the incident.
"I don't know who [the people who helped my mother] are but I would like to thank them all because at least she's in hospital being cared for and she's on the mend slowly," she said.
Police are yet to comment on whether the incident is being investigated.
