Wendy Hoopes (born 4 November 1972) is a Malaysian-born actress most widely celebrated for her roles on MTV's animated series Daria, where she provided voices for three different characters (Helen Morgendorffer, Quinn Morgendorffer and Jane Lane), billed under the name "Hannah".
Hoopes was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and was the fourth of five children in her family. She spent her childhood travelling overseas, particularly to America, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Her first major acting accomplishment was her creation of the character Bee Bee in Eric Bogosian's production SubUrbia at Lincoln Street.
Her next notable achievement was receiving multiple roles on Daria, an animated series that ran on MTV for 5 years. She and actor Marc Thompson were considered the two "stand out" voice talents of the series, for they each provided the voices for numerous different characters.
Since Daria ended in 2002, Hoopes has made guest appearances on many television shows, including Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Hey Joel, The Wrong Coast, The Jury, LAX, Judging Amy, Third Watch, Sex and the City, Law & Order, Swift Justice, Brotherhood, and New York Undercover. Her film credits include Private Parts, Better Living, Killing Cinderella, Calling Bobcat, Roadblock, Spinster and The Sitter.
Julián Rebolledo (born 1972), also known as Julian Dean, is an American actor and voice talent, best known for his role as the voice of the neurotic father Jake Morgendorffer on the MTV animated series Daria and as Raul Passos in the 2012 video game, Max Payne 3.
In 2000, Rebolledo appeared on the Law & Order episode "Vaya Con Dios", as Lt. Orra. In 2001, Rebolledo co-founded Shut Up and Talk with Sean Reyes, an audio post-production facility specializing in voice talent. Since its founding, Rebolledo has provided voice-overs for hundreds of commercials. In 2004, he toured the United States in the musical Heaven Help Us!, performing as one of the leads, a Spanish valet who channels Dean Martin.
He provided the vocal talent for Paul, Ash's rival in the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl series as well as the Nick Jr. series Go, Diego, Go!.
Julián graduated from Tulsa, Oklahoma's Union High School in 1990, and later graduated from the Manhattan School of Music.
This is a list of episodes for the MTV animated series Daria.
Daria is an American animated television series created by Glenn Eichler and Susie Lewis Lynn for MTV. The series focuses on Daria Morgendorffer, a smart, acerbic, and somewhat misanthropic teenage girl who observes the world around her. The show is set in the fictional suburban American town of Lawndale and is a satire of high school life, and full of allusions to and criticisms of popular culture and social classes.
Daria was originally broadcast from 1997 to 2002, and is a spin-off of Mike Judge's earlier animated Beavis and Butt-Head series, in which Daria appeared as a recurring character. Although Judge agreed to release the character to allow her to appear in the spin-off, he had no involvement in the production of Daria.
Daria Morgendorffer, the show's title character and protagonist, first appeared on MTV as a recurring character in Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head. MTV senior vice president and creative director Abby Terkuhle explained that when that show "became successful, we ... created Daria's character because we wanted a smart female who could serve as the foil." Daria's original design was created by Bill Peckmann while working for J.J. Sedelmaier Productions during Beavis and Butt-Head's first season. During production of Beavis and Butt-Head's final seasons, MTV representatives approached story editor Glenn Eichler, offering a spin-off series for Daria, and a five-minute pilot, "Sealed with a Kick", was created by Eichler and "Beavis and Butt-Head" staffer Susie Lewis (although written by Sam Johnson and Chris Marcil). MTV approved a series order of 13 episodes; both Eichler and Lewis were signed onto the series as executive producers.
Tracy Grandstaff is an American writer and voice actress best known for her work portraying Daria Morgendorffer from the MTV animated series Daria. This role was spun off from another MTV series, Beavis and Butt-head, for which Grandstaff provided the voices of Daria and other minor characters.
She has written for various series on MTV, including The Tom Green Show and the annual Video Music Awards, and for other Viacom-owned networks, including VH1, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon. She was also a cast member on the (unused, early working version of) pilot episode of the reality TV series The Real World. In April 2011 Grandstaff conducted an interview with the website Can I Get A Man With That to promote the DVD release of the complete series of Daria. On her view of the character eight years since the finale, Grandstaff said, "She is, was, and always will be the Misery Chick who loathes attention more than she loathes herself. Eight years later, there are new things that would totally annoy her—primarily words like totally and bestie. ...I don't see her as a sad character. I see her as tolerant of her unavoidable reality—eager to put the whole miserable experience behind her, so she could get out into the world and surround herself with people she actually admired and respected, or not."

When you tried to get me together
I only came undone.
When you tried to tell me
The one for me was you,
I was in your mattress back in 1982.
Daria, I won't be soothed.
Daria, I won't be soothed over like,
Smoothed over like milk,
Silk, a bedspread, or a quilt,
Icing on a cake,
Or a serene translucent lake.
Daria, Daria, Daria,
I won't be soothed.
I won't be soothed.
When you tried to tell me
Of all the love you had,
I was cleaning oil from beaches
Seeing only what was bad.
When you tried to feed me
I only shut my mouth.
Food got on your apron
And you told me to get out.
Daria, I won't be soothed.
