Creagh is one of many Irish surnames rooted in Gaelic language native to Ireland. The Creagh family was first found in County Clare, where they held a family seat from ancient times. The original Gaelic form of the name Creagh is Craobhach, derived from the word "croabh" meaning "branch."
The name is also used for many townlands, parishes and other small areas throughout Ireland, such as Creagh, near Ballinasloe, in Co. Roscommon ; The Creagh in Co. Londonderry just across the River Bann from Toome, Co. Antrim; Creagh near Skibbereen in Co. Cork; Creagh Beg and Creagh More near Clonakilty, also in Co. Cork; and Creagh (Kilcommock parish), Co.Longford.
Many spelling variations of the surname Creagh can be found in the archives. One of the reasons for these variations is the ancient scribes and church officials recorded names as they were pronounced, often resulting in a single person being recorded under several different spellings. The different spellings that were found include Creagh, Crear, Creag, Creavagh, Cray and others.

SEAN CREAGH - 'MAKES IT 3-0 & EXPLAINS DRAMATIC LIFESTYLE CHANGE FOR THE BETTER, BOXING SAVED ME'
Labour MP Mary Creagh discusses a parliamentary report into the problem of "micro plastics" in cosmetics, which is polluting the worlds seas as the rubbish can't be filtered out at water treatment plants, and is being injested by sea life, which we then eat with these plastics in them. We are poisoning ourselves because of these unnecessary "beauty" product additions. Recorded from BBC News Channel HD, BBC Business Live, 24 August 2016.

Bar Scene Part One
There's no water and I'm sitting in a bar by myself
And the lights are reflecting off those silver jangly pieces
The fat man's dog keeps biting at my heels
Now I'm through with standing, let the fat man lay me down
Chorus
From across the carpet crawls a tutu, with a drinks tray
With a white piece of paper, a message from a dead friend
The words I could not decipher
But the meaning was hard to misunderstand
Then with her lips to my ear, she told me what he had said...
Chorus
You take it away, you take it away
Sometimes things just move that way
You take it away, you take it away
Sometimes things just move that way
Sometimes things just move that way
