"Banjo-Kazooie" von Rareware wurde ein Erfolg auf dem Nintendo 64 und so beschloss man schon kurz nach dem Release des Games einen Nachfolger zu produzieren der nochmal größer, schwerer und besser sein sollte: Banjo-Tooie (Wortspiel aus Kazooie & Two) Mit neuen Features wie Bossgegnern, einem coolen Multiplayer und Endbossen ist ihnen dies auch durchaus gelungen, allerdings ist man mit der Auflösung von linearen Welten auch sehr weit gegangen, um Spieler zu verwirren. Der Sammelspaß wird also nochmal auf eine neue Ebene gehoben. An die Erfolge des Vorgängers konnte der zweite Teil nicht ganz anknüpfen. Zwar fuhr man wieder gute Kritiken ein (90% Metascore), verlor aber die Hälfte der Kundschaft. Während Banjo-Kazooie noch 3,65 Mio Käufer fand, waren es bei Banjo-Tooie nur noch 1,49 Mio. Dies könnte aber auch damit zusammenhängen, dass das Spiel am Ende des N64 Lebenszyklus erschien. Wie dem auch sei, ich spiele es wieder blind 100% und werde dringend eure Hilfe brauchen!!!

Banjo
The banjo is a four-, five- or (occasionally) six-stringed instrument with a thin membrane stretched over a frame or cavity as a resonator, called the head. The membrane, or head, is typically made of plastic, although animal skin is still occasionally but rarely used, and the frame is typically circular. Early forms of the instrument were fashioned by Africans in America, adapted from African instruments of similar design.
The banjo is frequently associated with country, folk, Irish traditional and bluegrass music. Historically, the banjo occupied a central place in African American traditional music, before becoming popular in the minstrel shows of the 19th century. The banjo, with the fiddle, is a mainstay of American old-time music. It is also very frequently used in Traditional Jazz.
History
There are several theories concerning the origin of the name banjo. It could have come from the Yoruba word or term "Bami jo" which means "dance for me". It may derive from the Kimbundu term mbanza. Some etymologists believe it comes from a dialectal pronunciation of the Portuguese "bandore" or from an early anglicisation of the Spanish word bandurria, though other research suggests that it may come from a West African term for a bamboo stick formerly used for the instrument's neck.

David Letterman
David Michael Letterman (born April 12, 1947) is an American former television and radio host, comedian, writer, producer, and actor.
He hosted a late night television talk show for 33 years, beginning with the February 1, 1982, debut of Late Night with David Letterman on NBC, and ending with the May 20, 2015, broadcast of the Late Show with David Letterman on CBS. In total, Letterman hosted 6,028 episodes of Late Night and Late Show, surpassing friend and mentor Johnny Carson as the longest-serving late night talk show host in American television history. In 1996, David Letterman was ranked No. 45 on TV Guide's 50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time.
Letterman is also a television and film producer. His company, Worldwide Pants, produced his show and formerly produced The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Worldwide Pants has also produced several prime-time comedies, the most successful of which was Everybody Loves Raymond, currently in syndication.
Late-night hosts Conan O'Brien (Letterman's successor on Late Night), and Jimmy Kimmel, cite Letterman's influence.

"Banjo-Kazooie" von Rareware wurde ein Erfolg auf dem Nintendo 64 und so beschloss man schon kurz nach dem Release des Games einen Nachfolger zu produzieren der nochmal größer, schwerer und besser sein sollte: Banjo-Tooie (Wortspiel aus Kazooie & Two) Mit neuen Features wie Bossgegnern, einem coolen Multiplayer und Endbossen ist ihnen dies auch durchaus gelungen, allerdings ist man mit der Auflösung von linearen Welten auch sehr weit gegangen, um Spieler zu verwirren. Der Sammelspaß wird also nochmal auf eine neue Ebene gehoben. An die Erfolge des Vorgängers konnte der zweite Teil nicht ganz anknüpfen. Zwar fuhr man wieder gute Kritiken ein (90% Metascore), verlor aber die Hälfte der Kundschaft. Während Banjo-Kazooie noch 3,65 Mio Käufer fand, waren es bei Banjo-Tooie nur noch 1,49 Mio. Dies könnte aber auch damit zusammenhängen, dass das Spiel am Ende des N64 Lebenszyklus erschien. Wie dem auch sei, ich spiele es wieder blind 100% und werde dringend eure Hilfe brauchen!!!
