Sridevi was born on the 13th August, 1963 in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, India while her original birth name is Shree Amma Yanger, Her father was a lawyer. Indian film actress who has worked in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and a few Kannada films. Starting to act at the age of four, she made her debut as an adult in the late 1970s. She is regarded as one of the greatest and most popular actresses of Hindi Cinema, and 'The First Female Superstar Of Hindi Cinema'.
Sridevi started her career as a child actor in the 1967 Tamil movie Kandan Karunai playing the role of young Muruga, and acted in many Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies from then on. During her early teens.
In 1976, Sridevi got her first big break as heroine in K. Balachander's Moondru Mudichu, where she starred opposite rising stars, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.
Sridevi made her debut in Hindi films as a child artist with the film Julie in 1975.It was 1979 release Solva Sawan which marked her adult debut as an actress. The film was the remake of her own film 16 Vayathinile (1977) although the film failed commercially. Her second hindi film Himmatwala (1983) became a big success and established Sridevi as a movie star in Hindi Cinema. The songs and trademark Southern style dances in the film became a rage as did her pairing with Jeetendra. The duo went on to star in several hits like Tohfa, Mawaali and Justice Chowdhry. While these films brought Sridevi commercial success, she earned critical acclaim for her celebrated performance in the 1983 film Sadma
In 1986 came the fantasy Nagina featuring Sridevi as a woman who could take the form of a snake at will. The film went on to become the years biggest hit, catapulting Sridevi to superstar status. She featured in many more big budget hits in 1986 like Karma and Aakhree Raasta cementing her status. Shekhar Kapur's 1987 hit Mr. India further consolidated Sridevi's position as the top female star.
Her title role in Yash Chopra's super-hit Chandni reaffirmed her position as the topmost star of the eighties. The same year she delivered another hit in Chaalbaaz.
Yash Chopra repeated her in his most ambitious film Lamhe in 1991. While this inter-generational love story failed at the box-office, the film is today regarded as a classic. It won the Filmfare Best Film Award. The film was a success in the overseas market winning Sridevi much international acclaim. In 1992, Sridevi was paired with Amitabh Bachchan in the Afghanistan epic Khuda Gawah. Her larger than life double role won her another Filmfare nomination. The same year, her Telugu film Kshana Kshanam directed by Ram Gopal Verma, became a big hit and Sridevi won the Filmfare Telugu Best Actress Award and the Nandi Best Actress Award for her role as the hilarious victim of a heist gone wrong.
In May 2012 Sridevi appeared in Aamir Khan's TV show 'Satyamev Jayte' as a surprise to an interviewee who has been sexually abused as a child. She also signed a letter to the government in support of passing a law criminalizing sexual abuse of children initiated by Aamir Khan.

Sridevi Plastic Surgery Before and After
The biggest among the Sridevi plastic surgery rumors is that she had a nose job (rhinoplasty) in order to improve the shape of her nose. Based on her recent photographs, it does seem that she had done a lot of tapering on the sides, giving her nose a pointier look.Unfortunately, the results, while conspicuous are not necessarily favorable since the tip of Sridevi’s nose now look pinched, and the sides appear just a tad deflated. This is rather unfortunate because she is a classic Indian beauty who looked just fine before the nose job.

She started her career as a child artist in M.A. Thirumugham’s devotional Thunaivan at the age of four, and continued to act as a child artist in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. She made her Bollywood debut as a child artist in the hit Julie (1975) and played her first adult role at age 13 with the Tamil film Moondru Mudichu (1976). Subsequently, Sridevi established herself as one of the leading actresses of Tamil and Telugu cinema, with roles such as 16 Vayathinile (1977), Sigappu Rojakkal (1978), Meendum Kokila (1981), Moondram Pirai (1982), Varumayin Niram Sivappu (1980), Premabhishekam (1981), Aakhari Poratam (1988), Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari (1990), and Kshana Kshanam (1991).

Yash Chopra repeated her in his most ambitious film Lamhe in 1991. While this inter-generational love story failed at the box-office, the film is today regarded as a classic. Shekhar Kapur's 1987 hit Mr. India further consolidated Sridevi's position as the top female star.
Her title role in Yash Chopra's super-hit Chandni reaffirmed her position as the topmost star of the eighties. The same year she delivered another hit in Chaalbaaz.
Yash Chopra repeated her in his most ambitious film Lamhe in 1991. While this inter-generational love story failed at the box-office, the film is today regarded as a classic. It won the Filmfare Best Film Award. The film was a success in the overseas market winning Sridevi much international acclaim. In 1992, Sridevi was paired with Amitabh Bachchan in the Afghanistan epic Khuda Gawah. Her larger than life double role won her another Filmfare nomination. Her title role in Yash Chopra's super-hit Chandni reaffirmed her position as the topmost star of the eighties. The same year she delivered another hit in Chaalbaaz.
Yash Chopra repeated her in his most ambitious film Lamhe in 1991. While this inter-generational love story failed at the box-office, the film is today regarded as a classic. It won the Filmfare Best Film Award. The film was a success in the overseas market winning Sridevi much international acclaim. Based on her recent photographs, it does seem that she had done a lot of tapering on the sides, giving her nose a pointier look.Unfortunately, the results, while conspicuous are not necessarily favorable since the tip of Sridevi’s nose now look pinched, and the sides appear just a tad deflated. This is rather unfortunate because she is a classic Indian beauty who looked just fine before the nose job.
