This was a 1973 single by ABBA, which gave the group their big break in several European countries
Andersson, Ulvaeus and Anderson were invited to submit a song for the Swedish selection process in order to choose their entry for the 1973 Eurovision Song Contest. After several days, Andersson and Ulvaeus came up with the tune for the Swedish version of "Ring Ring", with the working title "Klocklåt" (Clock Tune). Stig Anderson wrote the lyrics with the intention of making a "poppy" song, trying to remove the pomp and circumstance surrounding the Eurovision Song Contest at the time.
After this, the song had been retitled "Ring Ring". To make it more accessible to a universal audience, Anderson asked American songwriter Neil Sedaka to pen the lyrics for an English version, together with his songwriting partner, Phil Cody.
On January 10, 1973, the song was recorded at the Metronome Studio in Stockholm. Michael B. Tretow, the studio engineer, collaborated with Andersson and Ulvaeus over many of their subsequent singles and albums. Tretow had read a book about record producer Phil Spector, famed for his "Wall of Sound" treatment to the songs that he produced. While Spector used several musicians playing the same instruments in the same recording studio at the same time, this was far too expensive for this case. Thus, Tretow's solution was to simply record the song's backing track twice, in order to achieve an orchestral sound. By changing the speed of the tape between the overdubs, making the instruments marginally out of tune, this increased the effect. This was unlike anything that had been done before in Swedish music.
However, when Björn & Benny, Agnetha & Anni-Frid performed "Ring Ring" in the Swedish heats on 10 February 1973[2], they only finished third. Nevertheless, the song fared much better in the Swedish charts, both in its Swedish and English language incarnations, where it hit number one and number two respectively.
It was only now the quartet decided that performing as a group was a serious and realistic idea. They toured Sweden, and despite the failure of "Ring Ring" to represent the country at the 1973 Eurovision Song Contest, they began to prepare themselves for 1974's competition, with "Waterloo". - wikipedia

Just In: Anderson Cooper Just Received BAD News – He’s Done
Anderson Cooper’s ratings on CNN have been dropping for quite some time, but now it’s just ridiculous. Advertisers will be heading for the hills if this continues.
Cooper, once the leading journalist, is getting outshine by Tucker Carlson and even Chris Hayes on MSNBC. President Donald Trump predicted the failure of CNN in January, and it appears he was right.Cooper comes across as a pompous, privileged homosexual. He comes from big money, being a direct descendant of the Vanderbilt family. While he grew up in the Catholic church, one can only imagine that his lifestyle doesn’t play well there.Refusing to confirm or deny anything about his personal life or his political views makes Cooper seem a bit arrogant. He has had a few displays of emotion such as attempting to say he’s gay and a Christian, fighting against the leaders of the Church of Scientology, and being a staunch supporter of separation of church and state.
Comparing the same dates last year at this time, CNN as a whole has only grown 1%, where Fox News and MSNBC have grown over 30%. Prime Time viewer comparison numbers say it all – 835,000 total viewers on CNN – 2.5 million total viewers on Fox News.
The anti-Trump stance that Cooper has taken has hurt him professionally and personally. He has resorted to lashing out at guests and saying crude comments about Trump.
Any true conservative knows that Christianity and being gay can’t be reconciled. Rallying against our great President won’t work either. Soon every liberal journalist will find that out.

10/29/13 - Late night host Bill Maher joined Piers Morgan at the table on Tuesday night to talk all about Obamacare, and Maher was (with some reservations) incredibly critical of the rollout and agreed that President Obama "lied to people" about insurance. However, Maher was quick to clarify that "insurance companies were always dropping people from their plans" well before Obamacare, and slightly defended Obama when he said that had the president admitted people may not be able to keep their plans, the GOP would have gone bananas and health care would have died on arrival.
He said the Republican alternative to Obamacare is simply "walk it off," and despite the "rocky birth" of the health care law, it'll get smoothed out soon. Maher disagreed with the belief Kathleen Sebelius should be fired, saying "I'm not a big fan of scapegoating" and found it "counterproductive to get rid of the person who's been there all along."
However, Maher did admit this was "so frustrating for many progressives" because Obama was supposed to be the "detail guy."
But at the end of the day, Maher thought the "tea people" are the bigger problem for deliberately rooting for failure and getting in the way of the health care law being successfully implemented.

Failure

The Tonight Show
The Tonight Show is an American late-night talk show broadcast from the Rockefeller Center in New York City and airing on NBC since 1954. It is the world's longest-running talk show, and the longest running, regularly scheduled entertainment program in the United States. It is the third-longest-running show on NBC, after only the news-and-talk shows Today and Meet the Press.
Over the course of more than 60 years, The Tonight Show has undergone only minor title changes. It aired under the name Tonight for several of its early years, eventually settling on The Tonight Show after the seating of long-time host Johnny Carson in 1962. In later decades, network programmers, advertisers, and the show's announcers would refer to the show by including the name of the host; for example, it is currently announced as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In 1957, the show briefly tried a more news-style format. It has otherwise remained a talk show throughout its run.
The Tonight Show began broadcasting in 1954. It has had six official hosts, beginning with Steve Allen (1954–57), followed by Jack Paar (1957–62), Johnny Carson (1962–92), Jay Leno (1992–2009, 2010–14), Conan O'Brien (2009–10), and Jimmy Fallon (2014–present). It has had several recurring guest hosts, a practice especially common during the Paar and Carson eras.

Advertisers will be heading for the hills if this continues. Cooper, once the leading journalist, is getting outshine by Tucker Carlson and even Chris Hayes on MSNBC. President Donald Trump predicted the failure of CNN in January, and it appears he was right.Cooper comes across as a pompous, privileged homosexual. He comes from big money, being a direct descendant of the Vanderbilt family. While he grew up in the Catholic church, one can only imagine that his lifestyle doesn’t play well there.Refusing to confirm or deny anything about his personal life or his political views makes Cooper seem a bit arrogant. He has had a few displays of emotion such as attempting to say he’s gay and a Christian, fighting against the leaders of the Church of Scientology, and being a staunch supporter of separation of church and state. Comparing the same dates last year at this time, CNN as a whole has only grown 1%, where Fox News and MSNBC have grown over 30%. Prime Time viewer comparison numbers say it all – 835,000 total viewers on CNN – 2.5 million total viewers on Fox News. The anti-Trump stance that Cooper has taken has hurt him professionally and personally. He has resorted to lashing out at guests and saying crude comments about Trump. Any true conservative knows that Christianity and being gay can’t be reconciled. Rallying against our great President won’t work either. Soon every liberal journalist will find that out. -

10/29/13 - Late night host Bill Maher joined Piers Morgan at the table on Tuesday night to talk all about Obamacare, and Maher was (with some reservations) incredibly critical of the rollout and agreed that President Obama "lied to people" about insurance. However, Maher was quick to clarify that "insurance companies were always dropping people from their plans" well before Obamacare, and slightly defended Obama when he said that had the president admitted people may not be able to keep their plans, the GOP would have gone bananas and health care would have died on arrival. He said the Republican alternative to Obamacare is simply "walk it off," and despite the "rocky birth" of the health care law, it'll get smoothed out soon. Maher disagreed with the belief Kathleen Sebelius should be fired, saying "I'm not a big fan of scapegoating" and found it "counterproductive to get rid of the person who's been there all along." However, Maher did admit this was "so frustrating for many progressives" because Obama was supposed to be the "detail guy." But at the end of the day, Maher thought the "tea people" are the bigger problem for deliberately rooting for failure and getting in the way of the health care law being successfully implemented.

After several days, Andersson and Ulvaeus came up with the tune for the Swedish version of "Ring Ring", with the working title "Klocklåt" (Clock Tune). This was a 1973 single by ABBA, which gave the group their big break in several European countries
Andersson, Ulvaeus and Anderson were invited to submit a song for the Swedish selection process in order to choose their entry for the 1973 Eurovision Song Contest. After several days, Andersson and Ulvaeus came up with the tune for the Swedish version of "Ring Ring", with the working title "Klocklåt" (Clock Tune). Stig Anderson wrote the lyrics with the intention of making a "poppy" song, trying to remove the pomp and circumstance surrounding the Eurovision Song Contest at the time.

President Donald Trump predicted the failure of CNN in January, and it appears he was right.Cooper comes across as a pompous, privileged homosexual. He comes from big money, being a direct descendant of the Vanderbilt family. While he grew up in the Catholic church, one can only imagine that his lifestyle doesn’t play well there.Refusing to confirm or deny anything about his personal life or his political views makes Cooper seem a bit arrogant. He has had a few displays of emotion such as attempting to say he’s gay and a Christian, fighting against the leaders of the Church of Scientology, and being a staunch supporter of separation of church and state.
Comparing the same dates last year at this time, CNN as a whole has only grown 1%, where Fox News and MSNBC have grown over 30%. Prime Time viewer comparison numbers say it all – 835,000 total viewers on CNN – 2.5 million total viewers on Fox News.
The anti-Trump stance that Cooper has taken has hurt him professionally and personally. He has resorted to lashing out at guests and saying crude comments about Trump.
Any true conservative knows that Christianity and being gay can’t be reconciled. Rallying against our great President won’t work either. Soon every liberal journalist will find that out.

However, Maher was quick to clarify that "insurance companies were always dropping people from their plans" well before Obamacare, and slightly defended Obama when he said that had the president admitted people may not be able to keep their plans, the GOP would have gone bananas and health care would have died on arrival.
He said the Republican alternative to Obamacare is simply "walk it off," and despite the "rocky birth" of the health care law, it'll get smoothed out soon. Maher disagreed with the belief Kathleen Sebelius should be fired, saying "I'm not a big fan of scapegoating" and found it "counterproductive to get rid of the person who's been there all along."
However, Maher did admit this was "so frustrating for many progressives" because Obama was supposed to be the "detail guy."

10/29/13 - Late night host Bill Maher joined Piers Morgan at the table on Tuesday night to talk all about Obamacare, and Maher was (with some reservations) incredibly critical of the rollout and agreed that President Obama "lied to people" about insurance. However, Maher was quick to clarify that "insurance companies were always dropping people from their plans" well before Obamacare, and slightly defended Obama when he said that had the president admitted people may not be able to keep their plans, the GOP would have gone bananas and health care would have died on arrival.
He said the Republican alternative to Obamacare is simply "walk it off," and despite the "rocky birth" of the health care law, it'll get smoothed out soon. Maher disagreed with the belief Kathleen Sebelius should be fired, saying "I'm not a big fan of scapegoating" and found it "counterproductive to get rid of the person who's been there all along."
However, Maher did admit this was "so frustrating for many progressives" because Obama was supposed to be the "detail guy."
But at the end of the day, Maher thought the "tea people" are the bigger problem for deliberately rooting for failure and getting in the way of the health care law being successfully implemented.

After several days, Andersson and Ulvaeus came up with the tune for the Swedish version of "Ring Ring", with the working title "Klocklåt" (Clock Tune). Stig Anderson wrote the lyrics with the intention of making a "poppy" song, trying to remove the pomp and circumstance surrounding the Eurovision Song Contest at the time.
After this, the song had been retitled "Ring Ring". To make it more accessible to a universal audience, Anderson asked American songwriter Neil Sedaka to pen the lyrics for an English version, together with his songwriting partner, Phil Cody.
On January 10, 1973, the song was recorded at the Metronome Studio in Stockholm. Michael B. Tretow, the studio engineer, collaborated with Andersson and Ulvaeus over many of their subsequent singles and albums. Tretow had read a book about record producer Phil Spector, famed for his "Wall of Sound" treatment to the songs that he produced. While Spector used several musicians playing the same instruments in the same recording studio at the same time, this was far too expensive for this case. Thus, Tretow's solution was to simply record the song's backing track twice, in order to achieve an orchestral sound. By changing the speed of the tape between the overdubs, making the instruments marginally out of tune, this increased the effect. This was unlike anything that had been done before in Swedish music.
However, when Björn & Benny, Agnetha & Anni-Frid performed "Ring Ring" in the Swedish heats on 10 February 1973[2], they only finished third. Nevertheless, the song fared much better in the Swedish charts, both in its Swedish and English language incarnations, where it hit number one and number two respectively.
It was only now the quartet decided that performing as a group was a serious and realistic idea. They toured Sweden, and despite the failure of "Ring Ring" to represent the country at the 1973 Eurovision Song Contest, they began to prepare themselves for 1974's competition, with "Waterloo". - wikipedia

Anderson Cooper’s ratings on CNN have been dropping for quite some time, but now it’s just ridiculous. Advertisers will be heading for the hills if this continues.
Cooper, once the leading journalist, is getting outshine by Tucker Carlson and even Chris Hayes on MSNBC. President Donald Trump predicted the failure of CNN in January, and it appears he was right.Cooper comes across as a pompous, privileged homosexual. He comes from big money, being a direct descendant of the Vanderbilt family. While he grew up in the Catholic church, one can only imagine that his lifestyle doesn’t play well there.Refusing to confirm or deny anything about his personal life or his political views makes Cooper seem a bit arrogant. He has had a few displays of emotion such as attempting to say he’s gay and a Christian, fighting against the leaders of the Church of Scientology, and being a staunch supporter of separation of church and state.
Comparing the same dates last year at this time, CNN as a whole has only grown 1%, where Fox News and MSNBC have grown over 30%. Prime Time viewer comparison numbers say it all – 835,000 total viewers on CNN – 2.5 million total viewers on Fox News.
The anti-Trump stance that Cooper has taken has hurt him professionally and personally. He has resorted to lashing out at guests and saying crude comments about Trump.
Any true conservative knows that Christianity and being gay can’t be reconciled. Rallying against our great President won’t work either. Soon every liberal journalist will find that out.

10/29/13 - Late night host Bill Maher joined Piers Morgan at the table on Tuesday night to talk all about Obamacare, and Maher was (with some reservations) incredibly critical of the rollout and agreed that President Obama "lied to people" about insurance. However, Maher was quick to clarify that "insurance companies were always dropping people from their plans" well before Obamacare, and slightly defended Obama when he said that had the president admitted people may not be able to keep their plans, the GOP would have gone bananas and health care would have died on arrival.
He said the Republican alternative to Obamacare is simply "walk it off," and despite the "rocky birth" of the health care law, it'll get smoothed out soon. Maher disagreed with the belief Kathleen Sebelius should be fired, saying "I'm not a big fan of scapegoating" and found it "counterproductive to get rid of the person who's been there all along."
However, Maher did admit this was "so frustrating for many progressives" because Obama was supposed to be the "detail guy."
But at the end of the day, Maher thought the "tea people" are the bigger problem for deliberately rooting for failure and getting in the way of the health care law being successfully implemented.
