The Anime Expo 2003 Yuki Kajiura Concert as recorded by Dragon's Anime. Oh boy, what to say about this one? This is not the first release of this particular video, nor am I the only one who has recorded it. This is, however, a remaster from a new transfer from the original tapes. The video and was processed with modern hardware which is a far cry from the my old 32-bit Socket A AMD Athlon running 256MB of PC-100 ram. It also features the results of my several years experience processing this video, so much of the original gamma noise has been removed, and should be a sharper overall picture. The soundtrack, though you can't tell on youtube, was originally 2 channel stereo, and was at the time of the first release, remixed into 5.1 surround sound. And while good, I've done this again with my current hardware and software making it a slightly better sounding concert given the limitations of the original recording. This was Yuki Kajiura's first time in a live performance, and was also the first time that the right's holder had given the audience itself permission to record an event like this, which you can listen to, for yourself, http://youtu.be/4XczkIgtr9U#t=840s For most other concerts there is no permission given, and while I can understand some arguments for that, other arguments make little sense. I know that we the fans spreading the word with videos such as this greatly contributed to the fact you couldn't kill someone for this CD for nearly a year after. Given that, the concert that she performed with FictionJunction at Anime Expo 2012 absolutely destroyed this one, and no one but those there will ever know about it. That, is a goddamn shame. While popular among the small base of fans out here, that's the problem...the fans out here are relatively a small base. It could be far more, and showing people why is the only effective way.
