Renault has confirmed its new Koleos SUV will debut in showrooms from August, priced from $29,990 (plus on-road costs).
Revealed at the Beijing motor show earlier this year, the Koleos sports the brand's new design architecture first introduced on the new Megane. It will take on popular family runabouts such as the Mazda CX-5, Toyota RAV4 and Nissan X-Trail, an SUV it shares its underpinnings with.
The Koleos is powered by a 2.5-litre engine that is coupled with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Power, torque and efficiency numbers have not yet been disclosed.
The new model measures 4.67 metres long and offers a maximum braked towing capacity of 2000kg.
Exact price and specification will be available in the coming weeks. Australia will be the first market to offer the new model.
