This video shows my first time picking up a mooring with a sailing catamaran. I am not saying I'm the best at it, but i think it came out pretty well. The Boat is a Mahe 36'
If you refer to the link above, it will show you a picture of the mooring set up in the water. The main difference is that a catamaran has a bridal line connecting the two hulls together and making it possible to center the mooring line with respect to the boat (allowing you to be centered in your "parking spot").
I just cleated the aft line on the side which gave me the most room away from my neighboring boat.

Sturm der Windstärke 8 in Böen bis 10 auf 8m Catamaran vor Südspanien. Ende März 2007 segelte ich wie immer Einhand zurück von den Canaren mit Ziel Almeria. Am letzten Tag, nach Dreieinhalb Tagen auf See erwischte es mich und meine Anita. Der Cat ein 8m Woods Design machte 5 bis 7 Knoten ohne Segel und musste Zeitweise mit einem Autoreifen etwas gebremst werden um nicht aus dem Ruder zu laufen.

My sailing hobby began in 1983 and since then I have sailed many different mono hull dinghies. I have a Javelin since 1986 and recently I have been sailing the RS600FF which if you've seen my other video's is a challenging boat to say. I now have this A Class Catamaran and although I did do an RYA multihull conversion one day course, apart from beach sailing hotel cats, I am a complete catamaran novice. So as this is my second sail in this cat, I am learning how the boat behaves. There is lots to learn, and today I discovered that a small adjustment of the mainsheet is all that is needed to fly on one hull or two. As there was no assistance boats on the lake today, I decided not to trapeze and tempt my first capsize and recovery. I shall look forward to that experience next time.

There is lots to learn, and today I discovered that a small adjustment of the mainsheet is all that is needed to fly on one hull or two. As there was no assistance boats on the lake today, I decided not to trapeze and tempt my first capsize and recovery. I shall look forward to that experience next time.

My sailing hobby began in 1983 and since then I have sailed many different mono hull dinghies. I have a Javelin since 1986 and recently I have been sailing the RS600FF which if you've seen my other video's is a challenging boat to say. I now have this A Class Catamaran and although I did do an RYA multihull conversion one day course, apart from beach sailing hotel cats, I am a complete catamaran novice. Crossing Atlantic going west in 2001. We went from Falmouth to Spain, Portugal the Canaries then Cape Verde and on to Tobago. This camera was only taken out when the weather was reasonable so no video of bad weather! How many dolphins can you get between the bows of a catamaran (bows 14 feet apart)?

Hobie SX18 Catamaran Sail Capsize Attempt To Right. Thanks to Andrew and Jerry!l 9 8 2015
Well. If you have ever sailed a Hobie SX18 in 25 knot winds gusting 35, you probably have done this. Turtle and unhooking forestay. relaxing mast and downhauling sail under water. Many thanks to Andrew, who saw me on an empty lake, and came to my rescue in his kayak! Thanks to my life vest, I am gladly here to tell the tail! His dad is a fireman, and fire and rescue came to help. OOPS! Thanks to my buddy Jerry who was first on scene with his pontoon boat! We got her back to shore with no damage, excepting my pride! Heres to extreme Sailing a Cat! HOBIE RULES!
