God of War 2 - Challenge of the Titans

You need Athena's Blades, Blade of Olympus, Head of Euryale and Cronos Rage. You can max your weapons by replaying challenges, saving, then exiting to the challenges menu and repeat. The game will remember how many orbs you collected! Challenge 1 is my favorite challenge to replay because it can be finished in 30 seconds and you also collect Cyclops eyes for the extra costume. Each time you complete Challenge 1 you should get 1200 to 1800 orbs so you're going to max your weapons pretty fast. Note that sometimes the results glitch. For example the game can say you took damage when you didn't or worse not give you the achievement bonus when you clearly met the requirements. If that happens, quit the challenges and enter again from the treasures menu. But IMO it is easy to get a Titan rank in all the challenges so it's not a big deal if it happens. STRATEGIES: ~ Challenge 1, Blind Fury: Freeze and shutter the first cyclops using Euryale's L1+O attack (you need to max Euryale's Head). A second cyclops will drop immediately, freeze and shutter him too for the bonus. Now spam Cronos Rage while attacking with Athena's Blades. Grab the cyclops the moment you see the O prompt to finish him off. ~ Challenge 2, Death from Above: (NOTE - The game tells you, you need to kill 20 enemies for the bonus but in reality you only need to kill 15!) Use L1+X to lift enemies, this attack can catch multiple opponents and makes it easier to achieve the bonus. Use Cronos Rage at the right time to stun enemies in the air (it is a little tricky). A stunned enemy can be put in an airborne state if you use L1+X while he is being electrocuted. If a gorgon is using her beam while you are in the air quickly activate Titan Rage to avoid getting stoned and instant killed when you drop. IMO this is the hardest challenge because you get just enough time to achieve the bonus! ~ Challenge 3, Gorgon Graveyard: Very easy if you have mastered parrying gorgon beams! Try to grab the first gorgon to force her to use her instant freeze attack and successfully parry it! Now shatter all enemies, except the gorgon, using the Blade of Olympus L1+Triangle attack. If you fail to parry and are surrounded, quickly activate Titan Rage to instantly break free! ~ Challenge 4, Protect the Weak: Keep activating the statue to slow time and use the Blade of Olympus to quickly finish off the enemies. The L1+Triangle attack works great against the dogs, decapitating them with 1 hit from the right distance! Use Euryale's L1+Triangle attack to instant freeze the cyclops and shatter them with the Blade of Olympus L1+Triangle attack. Try killing sirens with a brutal attack so you get more blue orbs. Against the satyrs use Cronos Rage to stun them and finish them off with the Blade of Olympus. Note that Titan Rage will last much longer if you keep slowing time with the statue! ~Challenge 5, Reap the Rewards: Very easy! Make sure the Blade of Olympus is at Level 2. Now use Cronos Rage to stun the enemies and go close before using the Blade of Olympus L1+O attack which creates a force field that sucks red orbs from enemies! ~ Challenge 6, Survival of the Fittest. Use Cronos Rage and the Blade of Olympus to make quick work of the wraiths and summoners. Most enemies drop blue orbs so you won't run out of magic unless you spam Cronos Rage. The wraiths and Hades minotaurs drop health (Hades minotaurs only if you kill them with a brutal attack) so you can gain back health to negate the curse effect that keeps draining your health throughout the challenge. ~ Challenge 7, Perfection is Divine: Not as difficult as it seems first. Make sure you have maxed out the Blade of Olympus, you can get rid of the skeletons fast with a 2-hit square combo from the Blade of Olympus and then grabbing them. The second wave (summoners + beast lords) is the hardest part, try to get as many hits you can with the Blade of Olympus before grabbing the beast lords so you can kill them fast. The summoners can summon a cyclops making it very hard to win but if you keep the right distance from the summoners and are fast enough in dispatching the beast lord they won't, the trick to knowing if they are about to summon is to hear them chanting or see them using melee attacks. If a summoner grabs you and steals magic the game will say you failed the bonus so activate Titan Rage immediately to get them off you. Also, when a beast lord rushes at you either grab him or hold block, his first attack will break your guard but you're not going to lose health so you will not fail the challenge! Now quickly parry the second attack! Switch to Athena's Blade for the stone minotaur and try to get him to do the spin attack, then roll towards him and do a simple square combo before rolling away and repeating the cycle. Congratulations! You beat the challenges and achieved all the bonuses! :^)
