New Delhi: While there were doubts over their performance ahead of the Test series, Misbah-ul-Haq and his men stunned England by winning the first Test comprehensively by 75 runs.

Alastair Cook-led England were bamboozled by Pakistan, who despite not being the best team on paper, proved what sheer determination can do.

Soon after Mohammad Amir bowled Jake Ball, Pakistani players were seen doing push-ups on the field, as a tribute to their army staff, with whom they had a camp going into the series.

Younis Khan, who came out as one of the fittest members in the camp, was seen guiding the other cricketers.

Earlier in the Test, after he slammed his maiden ton at Lord's, Misbah had performed push-ups. The skipper later revealed that he made a promise to Pakistan army of doing push-ups everytime he would score a hundred in England.

"That was my promise to the army guys," Misbah said afterwards. "We did a camp in Abbottabad before the skill camp in Lahore, and we used to do an honour code every time, we just stepped into the ground and did ten push-ups. And I promised them, if ever I score a hundred, I will definitely do that to remind you that we were there.
