Hiking in to the Walls of Jerusalem in Tasmania.
This thermal wonderland of active volcanoes, mighty rivers, alpine tussock and native forests surrounding Lake Taupo, stretches across the regions of Lake Taupo, Ruapehu, Taranaki and into the Whanganui and Rangitikei river valleys. Lake Taupo - the 'beating heart' of the North Island according to Māori legend - was formed thousands of years ago in an apocalyptic volcanic eruption. The lake occupies the ancient crater that's now a playground for water-sports and a world-famous trout fishing spot. Ruapehu, south of Lake Taupo, is a mountainous region that includes Tongariro National Park - a dual World Heritage site recognised for its great natural and cultural value. The park has three volcanoes - Tongariro, Ngauruhoe, and Ruapehu, which boasts the world's only ski field within 500m of a...
The peasants In the countryside of the Plateau Central in Haiti, between Papaye and Hinche, farmers using irrigation from manmade lakes have abundant fields of production. These peasant farmers work with MPP, Movman Peyizan Papay. This slide show also includes families displaced by the earthquake. PHotos taken in June show some living at MPP or others returned to family homes in Papay. MPP also had a demonstration on June 4, protesting the "gift" from Monsanto of seeds. “Haiti is full of beautiful beaches, beautiful waterfalls and beautiful caves. The country also offers a beautiful tropical sun and gigantic mountains. The soul of the Caribbean is alive in the brilliant works of Haitian artists and craftsmen. Haiti is a mosaic culture from a mixture of Indian, African and European practices inherited from the colonial system. Creativity lives Haitian art whether through painting, music, dance and crafts.” By: Ministry of Tourism.

Few clips of our wee team as we mission over streams, cross country over easy going heath and explore with a small amount of bushbashing looking for old trapper and logger relics in the Tasmanian high country. Hopping over tussocks of grass as the plains have slightly flooded out where the many streams have broken their banks. Sadly when I got to stroke the brumby my pack was pointing away as I leaned in. Battery packed in way too soon so I only captured a small part of the trip. Few things to learn with the gopro still. This is uneditied in anyway merely compiled.
