The desire to get into shape and look good is common for us. Whether we have the drive to follow through with that desire is a whole other question. Those who put in the time, work and sacrifice to get into shape are often happy with the results. Greater endurance, longer lifespan and improved body image are all benefits of working out and getting into shape. Of course, each person has their own goal or idea of what ‘getting into shape is.’ For one person, adding a few minutes to their daily walk and improving their diet may be enough. For someone else, pushing their endurance by adding more repetitions or a couple more kilometers to their run might do the trick. Everyone has their goal or specific idea of what they want out of a workout routine.
Then there are what most of us would consider the ‘extreme’ athletes. These are the people who wake up early, drink their health shakes, run in the cold and dark and follow that up with some gruelling workout regime. They go beyond the casual jog or 30 minute workout routine. Olympians, tri-athletes, professional athletes – these people must all push their bodies to higher than normal limits to get the best. These people require extensive training and exercise to get the strength, endurance, flexibility and ability to recover needed to compete at the top level in their respective competitions.
Then there are the professional bodybuilders. Search around online and you’ll find debates over whether this is a sport or a beauty pageant. The well-publicized use of steroids and synthol have done little to help the image of this activity, but there is a large group of participants that still legitimately work hard to make their bodies stand out. Mr. Universe and Mr. Olympia are two of the best known bodybuilding competitions, but there are more occurring all around the world as men and women push themselves and their bodies to be the most muscular and visually appealing.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno are two of the most famous bodybuilders that most people can name. There are, however, many more men and women looking to leave their mark on this sport. Beyond the most famous bodybuilders, only those in the industry itself can usually name other notable competitors from over the last few decades. Even then, there are so many people looking to compete in bodybuilding that most go their whole careers without getting very much attention. For many of these people, that’s ok. They’re often competing as a way to prove to themselves that they can do it. For most, it’s not about the fame and glory but the chance to reach a personal goal and accomplish something which was maybe deemed impossible at one point in their lives.

Kilalanin natin ang strongest boys in the world -- sina Guiliano at Claudiu Stroe, mula sa Romania.
Si Giuliano Stroe, 9 years old, at ang kanyang kapatid na si Claudiu, 7 years old, ay literal na pinakamalakas na bata sa buong mundo. Tingnan niyo na lang ang kanilang mga muscles!
Dahil ipinanganak sila sa isang bodybuilder na pamilya, mga toddler pa lang sila ay nagwe-weightlifting at acrobatics na sila.
Nakamit ni Giuliano ang dalawang world records para sa 90-degree vertical pushups, at pagsabit sa isang poste na para uman flag. Yup...walang photoshop iyan.
Ang maskuladong mga bata ay nagbubuhat ng 4-kilo dumbbells at mabibigat na weights nang dalawang oras araw-araw, para mapalaki ang kanilang mga biceps at chest muscles.
May mga nagsasabing hindi tama ang pag-train sa mga bata nang ganito kabigat, dahil napakabata pa nila, pero ayon sa kanilang mga magulang ay natural sa mga bata ito, at wala silang pinipilit sa kanila.

Alam nating lahat na hindi normal ang magkaroon ng higanteng braso, gaya ng mga bodybuilders na ito. At kapag nalaman niyo kung ano ang kanilang ginagawa para makamit ang ganitong klaseng pagka-maskulado, mapapaisip kayo na maaring ang kanilang pag-iisip ang hindi normal.
Natural lang sa atin ang magsakripisyo para sa ninanais nating makamit sa buhay…pero okay lang ba kung maari natin itong ikamatay? Sagot ng mga lalaking ito: Oo.
Ang synthol, o site enhancement oil, ay isang mabilisan at pekeng paraan ng pagiging maskulado ng mga bodybuilders. Ang synthol ay pinaghalong medium-chain triglyceride oils, lidocaine at benzyl alcohol. Translation: ito ay synthetic oil na gawa sa fatty acids at painkillers. Ang alcohol ay ginagamit na panlaban sa bacteria.
Ito ay unang inimbento ng bodybuilder na si Chris Clark noong 1990s. Ang synthol ay pwedeng i-inject sa parte ng iyong katawan na nais mong mapalaki.
Matapos ang paulit-ulit na injection sa iisang lugar, maiipon ang oil sa gitna ng mga muscle fibers. Magtatagal ito ng tatlo hanggang limang taon.

Oggy and the Cockroaches
Oggy and the Cockroaches (known as Oggy et les Cafards in French, often referred to as Oggy) is a French animated comedy series produced by Xilam and Gaumont Film Company.
Synopsis
The show centers on Oggy, an anthropomorphic blue cat, who would prefer to spend his days contentedly watching television and eating - if not for the three roaches in the household: Joey, Dee Dee and Marky (named after members of the punk group Ramones). The trio seems to enjoy making Oggy's life miserable, which involves mischief ranging from (in most cases) plundering his refrigerator to such awkward things like hijacking the train Oggy just boarded. Oggy usually finds creatures accompanying him to the end of the episode, such as crabs, clams, a horse, a very technologically advanced child, a puppy, and an octopus. However, it's not always Oggy who wins.
The cartoon relies on slapstick humour, much like its "ancestor", Tom and Jerry, only amplifying the level of extremities up a notch. While traditional slapstick cartoon characters prefer dropping anvils and pianos on each other, this show sometimes uses buses or submarines. Despite these, however, most gags are easily accessible and enjoyable for younger viewers. Since dialogue is kept to a minimum, the humour is entirely visual.

The desire to get into shape and look good is common for us. Whether we have the drive to follow through with that desire is a whole other question. Those who put in the time, work and sacrifice to get into shape are often happy with the results. Greater endurance, longer lifespan and improved body image are all benefits of working out and getting into shape. Of course, each person has their own goal or idea of what ‘getting into shape is.’ For one person, adding a few minutes to their daily walk and improving their diet may be enough. For someone else, pushing their endurance by adding more repetitions or a couple more kilometers to their run might do the trick. Everyone has their goal or specific idea of what they want out of a workout routine.
Then there are what most of us would consider the ‘extreme’ athletes. These are the people who wake up early, drink their health shakes, run in the cold and dark and follow that up with some gruelling workout regime. They go beyond the casual jog or 30 minute workout routine. Olympians, tri-athletes, professional athletes – these people must all push their bodies to higher than normal limits to get the best. These people require extensive training and exercise to get the strength, endurance, flexibility and ability to recover needed to compete at the top level in their respective competitions.
Then there are the professional bodybuilders. Search around online and you’ll find debates over whether this is a sport or a beauty pageant. The well-publicized use of steroids and synthol have done little to help the image of this activity, but there is a large group of participants that still legitimately work hard to make their bodies stand out. Mr. Universe and Mr. Olympia are two of the best known bodybuilding competitions, but there are more occurring all around the world as men and women push themselves and their bodies to be the most muscular and visually appealing.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno are two of the most famous bodybuilders that most people can name. There are, however, many more men and women looking to leave their mark on this sport. Beyond the most famous bodybuilders, only those in the industry itself can usually name other notable competitors from over the last few decades. Even then, there are so many people looking to compete in bodybuilding that most go their whole careers without getting very much attention. For many of these people, that’s ok. They’re often competing as a way to prove to themselves that they can do it. For most, it’s not about the fame and glory but the chance to reach a personal goal and accomplish something which was maybe deemed impossible at one point in their lives.

Natural lang sa atin ang magsakripisyo para sa ninanais nating makamit sa buhay…pero okay lang ba kung maari natin itong ikamatay? Sagot ng mga lalaking ito: Oo.

Traveling to experience the jungle fun is an exciting journey in itself. You get to ride in carts being pulled by water buffaloes, and cross shallow creeks in them! While you are sitting in the back, you can take in the beautiful forest scenery and landscapes, and even interact with the local people you are sharing the cart with. You can start relaxing when you’ve reached the location, kick your feet up and wait for the food to be ready, or you can explore the surrounding area if you’d like to! There is always something new to try in the Philippines, whether it’s near a beach or high up in the mountains!
