Filming on
Justice League is well underway in
London and last week Collider’s own
Steve Weintraub got the opportunity to visit the set with a few other reporters. A number of in depth articles of the set visit will be on Collider all week and now,
Warner Bros. has also officially unveiled the official synopsis and logo for the superhero team-up as well as an official image of the new and improved
Batmobile.
Steve also spoke with Snyder and Affleck about the new tone and synopsis about the next movie in the
DCEU.
New set pics have been released for Spider-Man: Homecoming, announcing the official start of production in
Atlanta, Georgia – just as
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 was wrapping its own production.
James Gunn posted a photo of
Tom Holland alongside
Chris Pratt, commemorating the passing of the
Marvel baton in filming. The other set pics were snapped over at Just
Jared, with Tom Holland spotted in costume as
Peter Parker along with
Nickelodeon star
Zendaya as the female lead
Michelle, and
The Grand Budapest Hotel star
Tony Revolori as
Manuel.
As production on Alien: Covenant continues, it looks like ties to its previous chapter in the
Alien saga,
Prometheus, is becoming a lot stronger. Though initial reports hadn’t confirmed or even mentioned
Noomi Rapace’s character returning to the sequel,
Deadline is now reporting that the actress is, in fact, a part of the movie; reporting to the set in
Australia to shoot “weeks worth of scenes” in the film.
It’s unclear if this was a last-minute change or was planned all along.

Last month, Collider.com reported that the Death Wish remake, which is set to star Bruce Willis in the
Charles Bronson role of a husband and father who goes on a killing spree to avenge his family who was killed by gangsters, had lost
Big Bad Wolves directors
Aharon Keshales and
Navot Papushado; with no word on a replacement at the time. Now, in a report from
THR,
MGM and
Paramount have signed
Eli Roth to helm the remake of the
1974 film.
Sony Pictures has revealed their upcoming slate of animated movies, including the official confirmation that there will be an animated Spider-Man movie written by
Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Along with Spidey, Sony also announced a third
Hotel Transylvania and a title and banner for their Emoji movie.
Warner Bros has released a new poster for the
Harry Potter spin-off for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, teasing an invitation to the return to “wizarding world” by
JK Rowling. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as
Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures.
