Eddie Holland
Edward "Eddie" Holland Jr. (born October 30, 1939) is an American singer, songwriter and record producer.
Holland was born in Detroit, Michigan. Although he was an early Motown artist who recorded minor hit singles such as "Jamie", he started working behind the scenes due to stage fright. He was a member of Holland–Dozier–Holland, the songwriting and production team responsible for much of the Motown Sound and hit records by Martha and the Vandellas, The Supremes, The Four Tops, and The Isley Brothers, among others. He has written or co-written 80 hits in the UK and 143 in the US charts.
Holland served as the team's lyricist, and also worked with producer Norman Whitfield on lyrics for the songs he produced for the Marvelettes and the Temptations, like "Too Many Fish in the Sea" and "Beauty's Only Skin Deep".
Holland also composed songs for the First Wives Club musical.
Singles (as a recording artist)
All singles on Motown, unless noted. All of Holland's Mercury and United Artists singles were produced by Motown founder Berry Gordy, but leased to these other record labels for national distribution.

Eddie Benitez
Eddie Benitez (born November 12, 1962) is a guitarist. Born in Puerto Rico, his family moved to Europe soon after his birth for his father's work. He was raised in Italy and Spain, and while in Spain his father Francisco arranged private lessons for Benitez from classical guitar virtuoso, Andrés Segovia. The family returned to the U.S. when Benitez was 9 and settled in Brooklyn, New York. Benitez began formed his first band at 12 and began competing and winning local battles of the bands in Brooklyn. It was at one such battle of the bands where he was discovered by an AR person from Fania Records. Soon after the teenage guitarist was signed to Fania records.
Career
Benitez played his first concert at New York's Madison Square Garden in front of 20,000 fans soon after joining the label in 1976. His performance with his band Nebula and the Fania All Stars marked the beginning of his early rise to fame as a guitarist. His first release was Nightlife, which he followed six months later with Essence of Life. He later performed with such stars as Tito Puente and Mongo Santamaría. His music began with Latin jazz as part of the Fania family, later was in the smooth jazz genre, and has expanded to world music. He was the first Latin artist to perform at the legendary New York City punk club CBGB in 1976.

British rock
British rock describes a wide variety of forms of music made in the United Kingdom. Since around 1964, with the "British Invasion" of the United States spearheaded by the Beatles, British rock music has had a considerable impact on the development of American music and rock music across the world.
Initial attempts to emulate American rock and roll took place in Britain in the mid-1950s, but the terms "rock music" and "rock" usually refer to the music derived from the blues-rock and other genres that emerged during the 1960s. The term is often used in combination with other terms to describe a variety of hybrids or subgenres, and is often contrasted with pop music, with which it shares many structures and instrumentation. Rock music has tended to be more orientated toward the albums market, putting an emphasis on innovation, virtuosity, performance and song writing by the performers.
Although much too diverse to be a genre in itself, British rock has produced many of the most significant groups and performers in rock music internationally, and has initiated or significantly developed many of the most influential subgenres, including beat music, progressive rock, art rock, heavy metal music, punk, post punk, new romanticism, and indie rock.

Barrett Strong and William Mickey Stevenson's collaboration with Motown's voice-extraordinaire, provided Eddie with his first USA chart hit that actually rose higher in the USA "pop" charts and the R&B; one.. an early sign of Motown's ability to attract the American white music buyers.
But in England in 1962 Motown was still a sound about to be discovered and this single fell into instant obscurity, as Eddie Holland was an unknown and neither the word "Motown" or "Jobette Music" is anywhere to be see on the Fontana label.
Click the soundfile and experience a wondrous vocal of a man that was not comfortable as a stage act - if he was, then maybe his glittering career as a stand-out lyricist would maybe not have taken off so dramatically.

Both labels are immaculate, showing on the merest sign of spindle penetration. A-side vinyl at first glance is Mint - but as we tilt and adjust position in strong light a few very light surface blemished are revealed - visually a string Ex+ plays Mint -. Flipside vinyl has a few of wispy hairline marks again EX+ plays Mint - . Sleeve is free of any flaws - no writing, no tears no stains..
A beautiful offering from a superior vocalist and an incomparable writer of songs.

Barrett Strong and William Mickey Stevenson's collaboration with Motown's voice-extraordinaire, provided Eddie with his first USA chart hit that actually rose higher in the USA "pop" charts and the R&B; one.. an early sign of Motown's ability to attract the American white music buyers.
But in England in 1962 Motown was still a sound about to be discovered and this single fell into instant obscurity, as Eddie Holland was an unknown and neither the word "Motown" or "Jobette Music" is anywhere to be see on the Fontana label.

Flipside vinyl has a few of wispy hairline marks again EX+ plays Mint - . Sleeve is free of any flaws - no writing, no tears no stains..

Edward "Eddie" Holland, Jr. (born October 30, 1939) is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. Holland was born in Detroit, Michigan. Although he was an early Motown artist who recorded minor hit singles such as "Jamie", he started working behind the scenes due to stage fright. He was a member of Holland--Dozier--Holland, the songwriting and production team responsible for much of the Motown Sound and hit records by Martha and the Vandellas, The Supremes, the Four Tops, and The Isley Brothers, among others. The Ultimate Weekend kinda flys under the radar of the videos that were being released around 90′ but it definitely captures a certain vibe. The spots and riders make me feel like i am in an issue of GO magazine! Here is more info from the videos creator.
After 2 1/2 years working for the video company owned by Vision Skateboards/Vision Street Wear, I decided I needed to make my own BMX freestyle video. Following the lead of Eddie Roman (Aggroman) and Mark Eaton (Dorkin’ in York), I produced The Ultimate Weekend in 1990, releasing the video in October. The idea was to show what our lifestyle of BMX riding was like in a realistic way, which was much different than the “professional” bike videos of the day where everyone was wearing leathers and helmets… even while riding flatland. Riders in the video include: Keith Treanor, John Povah, Randy Lawrence, Chris Moeller, Dave Clymer, Alan Valek, Andy Mulcahy, Jess Dyrenforth, Chris Day, Dan Hubbard, Todd Anderson, Jeff Cotter, Gary Laurent, John Peacy, Bob Kohl and many more. There’s also a cameo by skateboarder Pierre Andre Senizergues, who went on to found Etnies shoes.
