Plot: 1989 South Africa: Bra Nelson has left Robben Island. In parliament, FW De Klerk officially unbans the ANC. It is the end of an era. John Dexter is a middle aged white South African male who did the boarding school, played rugby and cricket, did the army, is somewhat racist, got the good job, got the suburban house with the pretty upwardly-mobile blond. Dexter negotiates rush-hour traffic with a mind-numbing hangover. Taxi drivers wreak havoc with him: Cutting him off and blocking his way. He seethes - yet his face is dangerously inscrutable: This is an old war. On the highway, he screeches to a halt trying to avoid a body flying through the air towards his Mercedes. Luckily however he manages to stop before trampling the body. While desperately proclaiming his innocence to a traffic officer, another driver arrives, and Dexter is absolved. Severely shocked, he grudgingly picks up a hitchhiker, who, in return for the lift, offers numbers for the horses at Turfontien. Enduring much derision from his peers in the pub, Dexter, who never bets, lays out ten bucks: the numbers come in and Dexter wins a fortune. Everything should be peaches and cream. That night he has a nightmare in which the body he nearly hit becomes a horrendous (To Dexter) African mask which bellows: "Two weeks Dexta, and then I am coming to get you!" He schemes, "Well, if I am rich and I am going to peg, then there's a score I need to settle." He buys a Taxi and smashes the windscreen, sending his girlfriend Melanie and the Garden boy scuttling down the road. Bent into a pleading expression, A tear forms in one of the taxi's light clusters and runs down to the paving. Dexter sets out on the road...

My cell phone rang
It's my girl Lorraine
****In high-pitch range like she's in pain
My mood changed when she told me why
I swear, I dang near lost my mind
Her boyfriend, apparently
Forgot their anniversary
I tried real hard to hold my tongue
But I'm at work
And she's on one, now what
What you want me to do about that
I'm busy now
What ya call me for
If you don't understand me then
Let me break it down (ooh)
Don't want to hear no more
It'd be different if you would call me
Just to say what's up (what's up, yea)
I really don't have time
To be giving advice to you
Now I'm hanging up (hangin' up)
Don't wanna hear you whine
My candles lit
My music low
My evening's free
So I'm in chill mode
I'm in the tub
When my home phone rings
But I'm like "Voicemail, do your thing."
They called back twice
And I gave in
Picked up expecting Timbaland
I said 'hello' tryin' to sound real rude
It was Tina on the line
Tryin' to borrow some shoes
I'm like 'What?'
What you want me to do about that
I'm busy now (I'm busy now)
What ya call me for
If you don't understand me then
Let me break it down (let me break it down, no no)
Don't want to hear no more
It'd be different if you would call me
Just to say what's up (just to say what's up)
I really don't have time
To be giving advice to you
Now I'm hanging up (I'm hangin' up)
Don't wanna hear you whine
"Kiley, don't be so mean."
If I'm so mean
Quit callin' me
You don't care if I'm doin' my thing
Cause my phone still rings
And it bothers me
"It's an emergency."
Well call the police
If it's really that deep
I know it's not really that deep
So relax yourself
And quit harassing me
What you want me to do about that
(What you want me to do about it?)
I'm busy now (I'm busy now, yea)
What ya call me for
If you don't understand me then
Let me break it down (let me break it down)
Don't want to hear no more (Ooh)
It'd be different if you would call me
Just to say what's up (what's up)
I really don't have time
To be giving advice to you (to be givin' advice to you)
Now I'm hanging up (I'm hangin' up)
Don't wanna hear you whine (whine, no no)
Come on, come on
La da da da da da da da
La da da da da da da da ba da da
Don't bother us
We're busy right now
