The gathering takes place every Friday at 20:00. The discourse is based on the "Book of Illumination" by Imam Ibn Ata'Allah al-Iskandari.
Shaykh Waseem started his search for knowledge by studying Arabic in the UK before leaving for Damascus in Ramadan 2005 to study at the Abu Nur institute. During his time in Syria he concentrated on Arabic grammar and morphology but also began studying other subjects including Fiqh, Tajweed and Tafseer.
Shaykh Waseem studied privately under teachers completing works in Aqidah (Doctrine), Fiqh, Tasawwuf (Spirituality), Arabic Grammar, Rhetoric and other subjects.
In 2008 Shaykh Waseem attended the accelerated programme at the Dawli Institute for Arabic and Islamic sciences. The Shaykh studied a traditional curriculum and graduated in 2012.
Shaykh Waseem also attended all the lessons and gatherings of Shaykh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi, studying many texts under him including; the Shama’il of Imam Tirmidhi, the Principles of Tasawwuf of Imam Ahmad Zarrooq, Adab Al-Suhbah of Imam Al-Sha’raani, Al-Sanusiyyah, parts of Al-Risalah Al-Qushayriyyah and Iyha Uloom Al-Deen. He also readings of some of the canonical hadith books.
He was instructed to return to the UK in 2012 and has been delivering lectures and courses all over the UK since his return, including his home city of Sheffield and Al-Huda Zawiya in Dewsbury.

The modules include Fiqh, Aqeedah, Tasawwuf, Seerah, Shama'il, Hadith and Tafseer.

Waseem Ahmad
Waseem Ahmad (Urdu: وسیم احمد) (born 10 April 1977, Vehari) is a Pakistan field hockey player and ex- captain of Pakistan hockey team. He is regarded as one of the best left halves in the world, and became the most capped midfielder and most capped player for Pakistan. After announcing his retirement from International hockey during Press Conference held after Pakistan-India third-place match of 26th Champions Trophy in Lahore, former Pakistan captain Waseem Ahmed later staged a comeback to international hockey in 2006 for World Cup and retired immediately after Pakistan team campaign in London Olympics 2012.

Ahmad
Ahmad, Ahmed or Ahmet are the principal transliterations of an Arabic given name, أحمد.
Etymology
Ahmad comes from the Arabic triconsonantal root of Ḥ-M-D, meaning "highly praised", which in turn implies "one who constantly thanks God." Several Arabic names are derived from this root word.
The name Ahmad has its origins in a prophecy attributed to Jesus, in the Quran in Surah 61: As-Saff (The Ranks). Some Muslim scholars see the names parallel in the word 'Paraclete' in the biblical text. This view is not universal considering translations, meanings and etymology.
Regarding Ibn Ishaq's biography of Muhammad, the Sirat Asul Allah, Islamic scholar Alfred Guillaume wrote:

Other Arabic names from the same root include Mahmud, Ahmed, Hamed, Muhammad and Hamid. The name has one of the highest number of spelling variations in the world.

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Pakistan's most popular leader, regretted not creating Sindhudesh (a separate nation of Sindhi-speaking people) in the final days of his life. While five of the squad – Mohammad Amir, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik and Azhar Ali – stayed back in England, the Player of the Series Hasan Ali stepped out of the Lahore airport and into a red-carpet ceremony arranged by the Punjab government. The 23-year old fast bowler was accompanied by Babar Azam, No. 5 in the ICC ODI rankings for batsmen, allrounder Faheem Ashraf and opener Ahmed Shehzad.
Sarfraz Ahmed, Pakistan’s title-winning captain, was received by the mayor of Karachi and the Sindh sports minister, who honoured him with a traditional Sindhi cap and an ajrak [shawl]. An equally poignant reception was waiting for him at his house as well. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Pakistan's most popular leader, regretted not creating Sindhudesh (a separate nation of Sindhi-speaking people) in the final days of his life. He was treated badly and insultingly by Punjabi military dictator Zia ul Haq in his last days. He was accused of false cases and was sentenced to death in a trial that was a sham and was hanged despite the opposition from world's democratic leaders. His death sentence is often referred as 'judicial murder'. Perhaps, Sindhis should begin thinking of separate homeland for their linguistic community. As they say, better late than never. This short clip is from an interview of Majeed Ahmed Qureshi, Assistant Superintendent of Rawalpindi Jail, where Bhutto was hanged. Majeed treated Bhutto well and became close in Bhutto's final days spent in the jail.
