What's up everyone! Let me first say, thanks so much for tuning in! I wanted to not only make this "my first period video" for my daughters, but also for fathers out there that may be experiencing this issue alone and for the first time with their daughter. I wanted to tackle some information that comes with having the menstrual cycle that some may not be aware of. I had to cut out a lot because this video would have been even longer than it already is so I will touch on some things in this description box that you may want to know. Period Tracker: ( can be downloaded on phones, laptops or purchase a calendar) 2. Purse 3. Sanitary Napkins and (panty liners *not mentioned) keep 3-4 in your purse along w/ 3-4 panty liners. Panty liners are for when your cycle is coming to an end and you don't really need a "bulky pad" but still have a light flow. 4. Quarters: you want to at least carry 4 quarters in your purse in case you forget and need to purchase a napkin from a public restroom 5. Travel size wet wipes or baby wipes 6. 3-4 sandwich bags (the ZIPLOCK kind) 7. Travel size powder ( baby powder, baking soda, baby gold bond) 8. Hand sanitizer 9. Deodorizer (Poo-Pourri) can be purchased online or at a gift shop http://bit.ly/1nIDg7j 10. Pain Killers for cramps (tylenol, midol or ibuprofen) *BONUS: 11. You may want to keep an extra pair of undies and pants in your locker for emergency purposes WORDS TO REMEMBER THAT WILL HELP YOU HAVE A SUCCESSFUL PERIOD: 1. INCONSPICUOUS: not clearly visible or attracting attention; not conspicuous. 2. ODORLESS: Being without odor 3. DISCRETION: the quality of behaving or speaking in such a way as to avoid causing offense or revealing private information. OTHER WORDS MENTIONED: TSS (TOXIC SHOCK SYNDROME): is a potentially fatal illness caused by a bacterial toxin DOUCHING (*not mentioned) DON'T RECOMMEND! HERE'S WHY: "Your vagina has a balance of good and bad bacteria," "When you douche, you wipe out the good bacteria and allow the bad bacteria to overgrow, leading to bacterial vaginosis." So ironically, instead of the fresh and clean smell you're going for, you're more likely to be left with the strong fishy odor that accompanies bacterial vaginosis.
