Dartmouth College (/ˈdɑːrtməθ/ DART-məth) is a private, Ivy League, research university in Hanover, New Hampshire, United States. Dartmouth consists of a liberal arts college, the Geisel School of Medicine, the Thayer School of Engineering, and the Tuck School of Business, as well as 19 graduate programs in the arts and sciences. Incorporated as the "Trustees of Dartmouth College," it is one of the nine Colonial Colleges founded before the American Revolution. With an undergraduate enrollment of 4,289 and a total student enrollment of 6,298 (as of 2014), Dartmouth is the smallest university in the Ivy League and it was the last Ivy League school to admit women, in 1972.
Dartmouth College was established in 1769 by Eleazar Wheelock, a Congregational minister. After a long period of financial and political struggles, Dartmouth emerged in the early 20th century from relative obscurity.
Dartmouth's 269-acre (1.09 km2) campus is in the rural Upper Valley region of New Hampshire. Participation in athletics and the school's Greek system is strong. Dartmouth's 34 varsity sports teams compete in the Ivy League conference of the NCAA Division I. Students are well known for preserving a variety of strong campus traditions.
Conan Christopher O'Brien (born April 18, 1963) is an American television host, comedian, writer, producer, musician, and voice actor. He is best known for hosting several late-night talk shows; since 2010 he has hosted Conan on the cable channel TBS. O'Brien was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, and was raised in an Irish Catholic family. He served as president of The Harvard Lampoon while attending Harvard University, and was a writer for the sketch comedy series Not Necessarily the News.
After writing for several comedy shows in Los Angeles, he joined the writing staff of Saturday Night Live. O'Brien was a writer and producer for The Simpsons for two seasons until he was commissioned by NBC to take over David Letterman's position as host of Late Night in 1993. A virtual unknown to the public, O'Brien's initial time on Late Night tenure received unfavorable reviews and remained on a multiweek renewal cycle during its early years. The show generally improved over time and was highly regarded by the time of his departure in 2009. Afterwards, O'Brien relocated from New York to Los Angeles to host his own incarnation of The Tonight Show for seven months until network politics prompted a host change in 2010.
College Fall is a pop band featuring Glenn Musto and Jodie Bartlett. Formed in Western Australia in 2005 out of the ashes of local bands Josivac, Showbag and the Nordeens.
Glenn Musto was previously the main singer/songwriter in The Nordeens and Showbag. Jodie Bartlett joined Showbag in 2003, in time to record the band’s only album, The Town We Loved In. After Showbag’s disintegration, Musto relocated to England and travelled through Europe and USA performing solo.
The band played its first performance on 31 July 2005 at the Velvet Lounge in Perth. In March 2006 they toured the eastern states of Australia, playing in Adelaide and Melbourne. In June 2006 College Fall commenced their first tour of Europe, a self-organised fifty date tour, playing in the UK (Rock for Tibet, Eat the World festival), Denmark (Byfest, Skanderborg festival), Finland and France before returning to Western Australia in November that year. In 2007 the band undertook an extensive tour of their home state playing in Margaret River, Yallingup, Augusta, Bunbury, Geraldton, Broome and Kununurra before returning to Europe in July. College Fall performed in Italy (Rocca in Musica festival), UK, Denmark (Byfest festival) and Finland.
