Oregon (i/ˈɔːrᵻɡən/ AWR-ə-gən) is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. Oregon is bordered on the west by the Pacific Ocean, on the north by Washington, on the south by California, on the east by Idaho, and on the southeast by Nevada. The Columbia River delineates much of Oregon's northern boundary, and the Snake River delineates much of the eastern boundary. The parallel 42° north delineates the southern boundary with California and Nevada. It is one of only three states of the contiguous United States to have a coastline on the Pacific Ocean, and the proximity to the ocean heavily influences the state's mild winter climate, despite the latitude.
Oregon was inhabited by many indigenous tribes before Western traders, explorers, and settlers arrived. An autonomous government was formed in the Oregon Country in 1843, the Oregon Territory was created in 1848, and Oregon became the 33rd state on February 14, 1859. Today, at 98,000 square miles, Oregon is the ninth largest and, with a population of 4 million, 26th most populous U.S. state. The capital of Oregon is Salem, the second most populous of its cities, with 160,614 residents (2013 estimate). With 609,456 residents (2013 estimate), Portland is the largest city in Oregon and ranks 29th in the U.S. Its metro population of 2,314,554 (2013 estimate) is 24th. The Willamette Valley in western Oregon is the state's most densely populated area, home to eight of the ten most populous cities.
Beyond Words is a 1997 documentary film directed by Louis van Gasteren.
Shot in India partly in 1967 in 35mm film and partly thirty years later in 1997 in video, Beyond Words is one of only three or four films ever shot of the silent master Meher Baba that include synchronized sound and the only film shot of him in color 35mm. In the film Van Gasteren interviews Meher Baba on finding God within the self, and questions him on drugs and cinema. Meher Baba's silent gestures are interpreted in English by his disciple Eruch Jessawala. It was one of the last films and by far the most professional ever shot of Baba, with cinematography by Jan de Bont.
The Meher Baba footage in Beyond Words was originally shot for a feature film Van Gasteren was making in the 1960s, titled Nema Aviona Za Zagreb. The film stalled in 1969 and remained unfinished for decades. Although Gasteren did not show the 1967 footage of Baba for 30 years, he allowed Pete Townshend of The Who to include two still frames from it inside the gatefold of his 1972 Meher Baba tribute album Who Came First. Gasteren finally decided to release the unseen footage of Baba in the shorter film Beyond Words in 1997. The full length film Nema Aviona Za Zagreb, for which he shot the footage, was eventually completed and released in 2012.

http://www.expedia.com/Portland.d178299.Destination-Travel-Guides Welcome to Portland, Oregon, where you can experience the laid-back atmosphere of the Pacific Northwest amid beautiful natural surroundings. A Portland tour is easily accomplished on foot; this city was designed for pedestrians, so you’ll be able to get around quickly. As you stroll along, you’ll find plenty of parks, fountains, and buildings old and new to explore. Be warned, this city is known for its sudden showers, so make sure you bring an umbrella to shield yourself until the sun makes a triumphant return. If you like a good brew, you’re going to love Portland’s alter-ego, Beervana – so named thanks to all the breweries located here. Wine snobs, don’t despair; you’ll find plenty to drink (responsibly) in the Willame...

In this travel video tour of Portland, Oregon, I travel to Portland, one of the most unique cities in the United States. I started my trip off by hopping off a plane and then immediately hopping onto a bus. But not just any bus, a bus operated by Brewvana Brewery Tours, the mostly women-run craft beer brewery tour company. Portland, or know as Beervana to some, is home to 55 breweries within its borders, and is truly a beer-lover's paradise. On my tour we made stops at Rogue Ales & Spirits, Laurelwood Pubic House & Brewery, Widmer Brothers Brewery and Sidecar Bar, where I had the chance to sit down over a pint with the founder and owner of Brewvana, Ashley Rose Salvitti. While in Portland, I stayed at the Tiny House Hotel, a hotel made up of, you guessed it, tiny houses. In the next po...

Presented on April 10, 1998 Keith Thomson. vice president/Oregon site manager, Intel """With age comes wisdom,"" the old adage goes. Perhaps it's time to apply these words to Oregon's largest industry. Now that the state's high-tech sector has revolutionized the way the world handles information, should high-tech also reach out beyond the silicon forest to surrounding communities? In many ways it already has. The high-tech industry has invested heavily in the success of its operations in Oregon and is also investing in the overall success of the state. In fact, many issues that drive high-tech's concern for public policy are the same issues that concern us all. Technology-based companies have always made strong investments in K-12 and higher education. They know that it is money wel...

You say you want an answer
But my thoughts are fading away
I see that you care
Well you know it's a mess in my head
Didn't mean to make you cry
I know you don't understand
I'm sorry I brought this on you
I fear that you dare not
Come to me when I drown in despair
Dreaming of your face
I feel no more pain
Screaming out your name
I know! Am I calling in vain
So come along and you will see...
I'm not all messed up
I'll show you there's some good in me...
And it's growing up
I don't know why I should be...
Left alone because I can't explain what I feel
No! I can't give you no answer
Yet I'll try to act in a way
That makes you see that I care
Hoping to make you smile for a change
Dreaming of your face
I feel no more pain
Screaming out your name
