Mary Allen (born 22 August 1951) is a British writer, broadcaster, arts administrator and management consultant best known for her controversial and turbulent period as Chief Executive of the Royal Opera House.
She was educated at the School of St Helen and St Katharine in Abingdon, New Hall, Cambridge and the University of East Anglia (MA Creative Writing). In the early 1970s she worked under the name of Mary Adames as an actress in repertory theatre and the West End. She appeared in an early London production of The Rocky Horror Show and toured with Godspell. After working for private companies as a management trainer and consultant, as well as running Watermans Arts Centre in west London, Allen worked for the Arts Council of England rising to the position of Secretary General in 1994 just as the organisation took on the responsibility of distributing National Lottery funds, before becoming Chief Executive of the Royal Opera House in London.
In mid-1996, with the retirement of then general director Jeremy Isaacs approaching with a year, consideration of a likely successor generated some speculation in the British press. Among the four women named were Genista McIntosh and Mary Allen, although the latter "publicly stated that she would not be taking the job".

Allen Hulsey (born February 8, 1985) is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and visual artist. He is the founding member of New York City–based music duo Muj. Allen has also pursued musical projects outside of Muj's work, including numerous collaborations with other bands such as Emperor City Motorcade. He is also inclined towards acting, having worked in a 2011 short movie, I'm So Tall. Allen's paintings have also been exhibited in a number of venues, including Flamboyan Theatre.
Born in Rochester, New York (February 8, 1985), Allen was attuned to music from early years of childhood, responding intensely to local church bells as an infant and writing his first songs shortly thereafter. Allen moved to Turkey at the age of 7, at which point he undertook the study of cello and piano. He began playing guitar before attending boarding school in Germany at age 13. At boarding school Allen was introduced to a plethora of more modern music, which he incorporated into his vast knowledge of classical musics. He also then started to play bowed guitar in order to incorporate his prior knowledge of cello with his guitar playing. His rendition of Saint Saens' Le Cygne, later appeared in I'm So Tall, an art film starring Allen and directed by Yael Zeevi, in 2011. Exploring microtonal music and Turkish art/folk music lead him to apply to Berklee College of Music in 2003. Allen studied modern classical music privately, alongside the jazz composition courses he took at Berklee, studying under David Tronzo, Ken Pulig, Yokob Gubanov, and David Fiuczynski.
Andrew Lloyd (born 14 February 1959) is best known for coming from behind in the last lap to take the 5000m gold medal in the 1990 Auckland Commonwealth Games.
Lloyd was born in Colchester, Essex, England. He represented Australia at the 1988 Summer Olympics and 1985 and 1989 IAAF World Cross Country Championships. He won many prestigious Australian road races in the 1980s and 1990s including the 1983, 1984, 1986 and 1993 City to Surfs, the 1979, 1980 and 1981 Melbourne Marathons (2:26:44, 2:17:37 and 2:19:03 respectively) and the 1980 Gold Coast Marathon (2:23:02).
Lloyd, who's performances in big events had come under question, won a dramatic 5000 metres final at the Commonwealth Games in Auckland's Mount Smart Stadium in 1990. Running third coming into the final bend, Lloyd passed Welshman Ian Hamer and set out after the leader, the reigning Olympic Games 5000 metres champion John Ngugi from Kenya. Ngugi was tiring and with about 5 metres to go Lloyd powered past to win in a time of 13:24.86, just 0.08 in front of the Olympic champion.

Plot: Mr. Brown and his racketeer buddies, calling their company "Best Selections", come up with a scheme to bilk those already seemingly desperate for money of what little they have. The scheme has two main components: they print and circulate a list of horse racing winners making it look like they've predicted the winners, and they, with a list of bank loan applicants in hand, telephone these people telling them of a sure bet. Seeing after the fact in the racing forms that the sure bet did in fact win the races, these loan applicants, desperate for money, will then go to the Best Selections office to make a subsequent bet through their bookies, who in reality are fakes. Mr. Brown's associates give them a name of a horse certain to lose, and the bet is made with the fake bookie. One of those targeted is Bill Allen, who can't afford the medical bills racking up for his pregnant wife, Mary Allen. Another victim is Charles Adams, a mechanic who just wants to make a little money. Charles' unfortunate situation may be what the police need to capture Brown and his gang.

Ancient language and cultural mystic Dale Allen Hoffman http://www.daleallenhoffman.com shares introductory insights into what ancient Aramaic, Syriac and Greek texts actually say about Maaryam Magdalitha, aka Mary Magdalene, who is the Christian-ized version of Egyptian Coptic priestess Isis-Mary, Divine Feminine counterpart (along with the Divine "Virgin" mother Isis-Mary) to the "Only Begotten Son/Sun of God" Horus (aka Ra). Dale draws from the Canonical Christian Gospels, the Gospel of Mary (aka The Gospel According to Mary Magdalene) and the Gospels of Thomas and Phillip, among others. Use the pain, use the pain
