Don Juan (Spanish), Don Giovanni (Italian) is a legendary, fictional libertine. The first written version of the Don Juan legend was written by the Spanish dramatist Tirso de Molina (nom de plume of Gabriel Téllez). His play, El burlador de Sevilla y convidado de piedra (The Trickster of Seville and the Stone Guest), was set in the fourteenth century and published in Spain around 1630. The name "Don Juan" is a common metaphor for a "womanizer".
The original play was written in the Spanish Golden Age according to its beliefs and ideals, but as the story was translated and time passed the story was adapted to accommodate cultural changes.
Tirso de Molina wrote “El burlador de Sevilla” in 1630 in order to demonstrate a life-changing lesson. He saw that everyone was throwing his or her life away, living and sinning as they pleased, because they believed that in the end, as long as they repented before they died, they would receive the grace to enter heaven. Through his play, however, he shows that even Don Juan, who is identified as the very devil, a “man without a name” and shape-shifter, has to eventually pay for his sins. Tirso reminds us that we must pay for our actions, and that in the end death makes us all equal.
Don Juan Triumphant is the name of a fictional piece of music written by the title character in the novel The Phantom of the Opera. In the musical adaptation by Andrew Lloyd Webber, the concept is expanded as an opera within a musical and the performance of it plays a major role in the storyline. The fictional piece draws major inspiration from the Mozart's famous work Don Giovanni yet the Phantom's opera is depicted as far more bleak and dark.
In the original book by French novelist Gaston Leroux, Don Juan Triumphant (French: Don Juan triomphant) is an initially unfinished piece that Erik, the Phantom, has been working on for a period of over twenty years. At one point, he remarks that once he completes it, he will take the score into the coffin he uses for a bed and simply never wake up. Erik plays a section of his opera following his unmasking at the hands of Christine Daaé, who is stunned by the power of the music. As she describes it, the music takes the listener through every detail of suffering of "the ugly man," taking her into the abyss of the wretched torment and misery Erik has experienced in his life. The piece, in Daaé's view, makes pain divine. At the end, it takes a rapid ascent out of misery whirling up into a triumphant and victorious flight as 'ugliness', lifted on the wings of love, dared to look 'beauty' in the face.
The Phantom of the Opera (French: Le Fantôme de l'Opéra) is a novel by French writer Gaston Leroux. It was first published as a serialisation in Le Gaulois from September 23, 1909, to January 8, 1910. It was published in volume form in April 1910 by Pierre Lafitte. The novel is partly inspired by historical events at the Paris Opera during the nineteenth century and an apocryphal tale concerning the use of a former ballet pupil's skeleton in Carl Maria von Weber's 1841 production of Der Freischütz. Nowadays, it is overshadowed by the success of its various stage and film adaptations. The most notable of these are the 1925 film depiction featuring Lon Chaney and Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1986 musical.
Opera singer Christine triumphs at the gala on the night of the old managers' retirement. Her old childhood friend, Raoul, hears her sing and recalls his love for Christine. At this time, there are rumors of a phantom living at the Opera and he makes himself known to the managers through letters and malevolent acts. Some time after the gala, the Paris Opera performs Faust, with the prima donna Carlotta playing the lead, against the Phantom's wishes. During the performance, Carlotta loses her voice and the grand chandelier plummets into the audience.
Misha (Russian: Миша), also known as Mishka (Russian: Мишка) or The Olympic Mishka (Russian: Олимпийский Мишка) or Misa (Vietnamese Language), is the name of the Russian Bear mascot of the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games (the XXII Summer Olympics). He was designed by children's books illustrator Victor Chizhikov.
Misha is the first mascot of a sporting event to achieve large-scale commercial success in merchandise. The Misha doll was used extensively during the opening and closing ceremonies, appeared on several merchandise products and had both an animated short film (animated by Soyuzmultfilm) and a television series (animated by Nippon Animation), all of which are now common practice not only in the Olympic Games, but also in the FIFA World Cup and other events' mascots.
Misha also appeared in the 1980 Olympics episode of the Russian cartoon Nu, pogodi!, handing trophies to the Wolf and the Hare.
In Russian, Misha is a short form for the Russian male name Mikhail (Michael), and Mishka is a diminutive of Misha.

Last year I produced a wonderful young singer named Kathryn Christie. Other than legendary drummer Peter Erskine the rest of the musicians on the date were some of the best young musicians around today: Ruslan Sirota - piano, Nick Mancini - vibes, Edwin Livingston - acoustic bass, John Tegmayer -- clarinet and giant Peter Erskine -- drums The first song we chose was one of my all time favorites - Autumn in New York. This song tells everything I personally feel about that town, which is my favorite in the whole world... Kathryn is a brilliant artist. When I first heard her at a club in Texas I got the idea that she was singing personally to me. That's how special she is. Her communication is totally direct and honest. One day, as I was working on the movie MATTERS OF THE HEART (Starring Jane Seymour) the producer of the show looked at me from a few angles and then, holding his chin by the palm of his hand said, "How would you like to be in the movie?" I said, "sure, love to, what part am I playing?" he said, "The part of Sasha, the Russian conductor." Wow! I said, twist my arm :) That was an unbelievable experience. I love conducting but have never actually conducted a concert piece, mostly my own scores. I brought my (then) prodigy Tamir to the movie along with Mona Golabeck, the incredible pianist. The rest is... history. I hope you enjoy this clip.

A newer and gorier version of the horror film classic of Gaston Leroux's classic tale. Christine Day is a young Broadway singer in New York City. She is auditioning for a show and comes across a piece of music written by an unknown music composer named Erik Destler nearly 100 years before. Erik had made a pack with the devil so the world would love his music, but the devil had one condition: that Erik's face would be horribly disfigured forever. Once Christine sings his music, she is taken from present day New York to 1881 London were she is the star of the London Opera House. Their she is coached by a mysterious caped figure who will do anything to make her the star of the opera even if it means murdering people, and the figure is none other than Erik Destler himself.

I am proud to say that my novels have been compared to Jackie Collins, Sidney Sheldon, Danielle Steel and more recently Robert James Waller, Helen Fielding joining the timeless greats! The whirling romance, the surprising adventure, the colorful worlds in which the characters live, all add up to unique people getting caught up in unique situations and sometimes finding themselves, . . . or not. I am not exactly a novice. Until I left Los Angeles, I was a member of the Writers Guild of America, West. That’s not easy to achieve. I earned that privilege by developing storylines for television and being contributing writer. Three of my original screenplays were acquired under paid options by production companies.
