Video is an electronic medium for the recording, copying, playback, broadcasting, and display of moving visual media.
Video systems vary greatly in the resolution of the display, how they are refreshed, and the rate of refreshed, and 3D video systems exist. They can also be carried on a variety of media, including radio broadcast, tapes, DVDs, computer files etc.
Video technology was first developed for Mechanical television systems, which were quickly replaced by cathode ray tube (CRT) television systems, but several new technologies for video display devices have since been invented. Charles Ginsburg led an Ampex research team developing one of the first practical video tape recorder (VTR). In 1951 the first video tape recorder captured live images from television cameras by converting the camera's electrical impulses and saving the information onto magnetic video tape.
Video recorders were sold for $50,000 in 1956, and videotapes cost $300 per one-hour reel. However, prices gradually dropped over the years; in 1971, Sony began selling videocassette recorder (VCR) decks and tapes to the public.

Disney's Raw Toonage is a half-hour Disney animated cartoon series that aired on the CBS network in the fall of 1992.
The idea for the show had an unusual genesis. Disney TV was developing a 65-half hour series for their Disney Afternoon block entitled He's Bonkers D. Bobcat. The premise was similar to Who Framed Roger Rabbit in that the series dealt with the lead character's adventures post-stardom. The actual production of this series was troubled, in large part because the so-called real characters in the series were also animated, only not as broadly as Bonkers and friends.
At the same time, Michael Eisner had purchased the rights to the popular Belgian comic strip Marsupilami. At some point, someone had the post-modern idea to actually make the cartoons that Bonkers had starred in before becoming a policeman, and the show that would become Raw Toonage was born. The additional segment, Totally Tasteless Video, was intended as a satire of popular culture, not a proving ground for new stars. The host was added to give the show the familiar feel of the World of Disney show.

Scrooge McDuck Episode of Raw Toonage (episode 3)
An episode of the Disney series "Raw Toonage" from CBS Saturday morning.
I do not own anything, all copyrights belong to Walt Disney Television Animation, Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Buena Vista Televsion, CBS, Micheal Eisner and any and all subsidaries and affliates of The Walt Disney Company. I uploaded this to replace the current Don Karnage episode of Raw Toonage on YouTube as the Marsupilami segment has such severely degraded audio, it is impossible to hear properly. I edited together another version of this episode replacing the entire original Marsumpilami with a version I found with much better audio and then equalized the audio of the entire soundtrack of the episode to make it balance out.
An episode of the Disney series "Raw Toonage" from CBS Saturday morning.
The marsupilami is a black-spotted yellow monkey-like creature of which some specimens are known to have a form of melanism, causing them to resemble black panthers, meanwhile other marsupilamis lack spots altogether. The young of the main couple are a good example of how marsupilamis exhibit these different traits: female Bibi has spots, male Bibu does not, while the other male, Bobo, has black fur. Disney's version of the marsupilami first appeared on television in Raw Toonage in 1992, and was then spun off into his own eponymous show on the CBS network. Marsupilami's supporting characters included Maurice the Gorilla, Stuie the Elephant, Eduardo the Jaguar, Norman the Poacher, and other characters. The original Marsupilami stories by Franquin never encountered a gorilla or elephant, sin...
