Two minutes with the President Tree, at Sequoia National Park in California. It is the third largest tree on Earth and also the oldest known living Giant Sequoia tree, estimated to be at least 3000 years old.

This residual old growth redwood was on private property, and was missing its top. This tree was in my cuttin pards' strip, and had 37,000 bd. ft. in it. It was fell with a Stihl 088 with a 60 canon bar. We were using silvey tree saver jacks, to jack it up the hill. Each ram is capable of 62 tons of lift, and we had four rams and two pumps. The tree was bucked into 20' logs, and the first and second logs had to be quartered, while the third and fourth logs, had to be ripped, so that they could be flown out, with a boeing 234 chinook helicopter.
It took about 6 hours to fall and buck, and we were in no hurry, as we, and our bullbucks, were having fun, doing what we were born to do. When he crawled in the undercut for a photo opportunity, he was absolutely in NO danger! There was a significant amount of holding wood that had to be cut and jack pressure applied after he did this. Average age of an coastal, old growth redwood, is 5-700 years.

Donald Duck
Donald Duck is a cartoon character created on June 9, 1934, at Walt Disney Productions. Donald is an anthropomorphic white duck with a yellow-orange bill, legs, and feet. He typically wears a sailor shirt and cap with a black or red bow tie. Donald is most famous for his semi-intelligible speech and his mischievous and temperamental personality. Along with his friend Mickey Mouse, Donald is one of the most popular Disney characters and was included in TV Guide's list of the 50 greatest cartoon characters of all time in 2002. He has appeared in more films than any other Disney character, and is the most published comic book character in the world outside of the superhero genre.
Donald Duck rose to fame with his comedic roles in animated cartoons. Donald's first appearance was in 1934 in The Wise Little Hen, but it was his second appearance in Orphan's Benefit which introduced him as a temperamental comic foil to Mickey Mouse. Throughout the next two decades Donald appeared in over 150 theatrical films, several of which were recognized at the Academy Awards. In the 1930s, he typically appeared as part of a comic trio with Mickey and Goofy, and was given his own film series in 1937 starting with Don Donald. These films introduced Donald's love interest Daisy Duck and often included his three nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. After the 1956 film Chips Ahoy, Donald appeared primarily in educational films before eventually returning to theatrical animation in Mickey's Christmas Carol (1983). His most recent appearance in a theatrical film was 1999's Fantasia 2000. Donald has also appeared in direct-to-video features such as Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers (2004), television series such as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (2006–2013), and video games such as QuackShot (1991).

Old Sequoia
Old Sequoia is a 1945 American animated short film directed by Jack King. The cartoon was produced in Technicolor by Walt Disney Productions and released to theaters on December 21, 1945 by RKO Radio Pictures.
Synopsis
An old Sequoia labeled "Old Sequoia" sits in a National Park (its plaque labeled "Born: ????") and is surrounded by a fence. However, two beavers are chewing down one tree after another and getting closer to Old Sequoia.
Up in a nearby ranger lookout post, Donald Duck, as Agent 13, is sleeping precariously in a chair leaning back on a loose side board that overlooks a deep lake a thousand feet below when the telephone rings. After Donald avoids falling, gets smacked by the loose board, and answers the telephone, the chief ranger (possibly Pete) scolds Donald for ignoring the phone after the first ring and warns him that his carelessness has resulted in a lot of trees getting lost in his sector. Pete then warns Donald that Old Sequoia is at risk of getting chewed down and adds that if the park loses Old Sequoia, Donald will lose his job and orders him to guard the threatened tree. Just as Donald gets mad at being threatened of being fired, Pete rings back and orders Donald to get to work protecting Old Sequoia.

Two minutes with the President Tree, at Sequoia National Park in California. It is the third largest tree on Earth and also the oldest known living Giant Sequoia tree, estimated to be at least 3000 years old. Taken April 6, 2016.

Falling an old growth redwood tree; Humboldt County, CA, 2002
This residual old growth redwood was on private property, and was missing its top. This tree was in my cuttin pards' strip, and had 37,000 bd. ft. in it. It was fell with a Stihl 088 with a 60 canon bar. We were using silvey tree saver jacks, to jack it up the hill. Each ram is capable of 62 tons of lift, and we had four rams and two pumps. The tree was bucked into 20' logs, and the first and second logs had to be quartered, while the third and fourth logs, had to be ripped, so that they could be flown out, with a boeing 234 chinook helicopter. It took about 6 hours to fall and buck, and we were in no hurry, as we, and our bullbucks, were having fun, doing what we were born to do.
