After three years, the project of integrating the first Airbus A321 has found its successful finish: Since June, 6th 2013, the new Airbus A321 is flying for the German airline Condor. It is the first of 23 new aircraft which will be brought into service at Thomas Cook Group Airlines. In February 2014, the aircraft will being transferred to Thomas Cook Airlines UK where it will then be deployed for departures from the UK on a permanent basis. The specifications for the Airbus A321 were defined by a project team comprising colleagues from across all airlines in Thomas Cook Group, representing the specific needs of each airline.
The aircraft was christened "Voyager Android"; the name was chosen in a Thomas Cook Group competition by the employees. "Voyager Android" was created by Harriet Green, Chief Executive of the Thomas Cook Group. It describes the carrier's vision of always being available to its customers regardless of where they happen to be, and so the term also stands for the Group's future, for technology, comfort and the best customer service.
A filming team and a photographer attended the aircraft´s assembly, painting plus the delivery ceremony in Hamburg-Finkenwerder and the inaugural event in Berlin-Schönefeld.
In addition to the two video on the assembly and the painting, the third video form the finalisation of this for the Thomas Cook Group Airlines important and special process.

Another day of high-speed crosswinds at BHX on May 5th 2015, and as usual it's the variability that causes the real problems, not the mere wind speed/direction.
Here flight ZB971 from Malaga attempts to land twice, aborting the first and doing a "missed approach" on the second. The plane then diverted to Manchester without trying a third time.

A full length full flight video in real time with American Airlines, from Philadelphia to Las Vegas, onboard Airbus A321 N196UW operating flight AA735 on April 1 2016.
**Every moment of the flight included from airport to airport. ATC for full flight.**
Our journey begins at the gate inside the Philadelphia International Airport, with a 1h40m delay. We finally board our flight and are welcomed aboard, before beginning our taxi out to the runway. This plan soon comes to a halt however, as the airport is placed on ground stop due to a passing storm. We sit, engines shut down, for almost two hours (thankfully not filmed in its entirety!) before we finally get clearance to taxi out to runway 27L and depart on a Pottstown departure.
We get airborne on a beautiful evening, with wonderful light and a lightning storm in the distance providing a spectacular backdrop. Once we reach cruising altitude, we begin chasing the sunset across North America, before we finally lose the light completely around two hours in, south of Chicago. Our only glimpse of life on the ground now is the numerous cities we fly over, lit up brightly in the night sky. Onboard this Friday night flight to Vegas however, it's a party atmosphere, with the drinks flowing freely amongst the half full Airbus! We fly over Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL, Lincoln, NE, Denver, CO, and finally over a pitch black Grand Canyon, before we see the bright lights of Las Vegas on the horizon. We make a stunning approach and landing over the city touching down precisely 3 hours and 1 minute behind schedule!
We disembark the aircraft into the terminal, passing rows of slot machines as soon as you enter the terminal, and make our way down to the baggage claim where our driver is waiting to take us to our hotel for the weekend.

A long over due trip back to Kefalonia! It had been a few years since I'd been back to visit my family. So after finding cheap flights with Thomas Cook just 2 weeks before the departure date I thought why not and booked it up! Must admit I was rather hoping for one of the new Thomas Cook A321's with the sharklets but was quite pleased to see I would be travelling on the "Egypt, Where it all begins" aircraft. Very busy flight, not many if any empty seats about, lots of families and couples off for a week or two break. We pushed back bang on time, but a long taxi right up to runway 08R meant we weren't airborne until getting on for 6:20. The lighting during take off was just perfect! Couldn't ask for any more, engine was lit up perfectly and with the damp morning moisture still lingering in the air there's some fantastic displays of water vapour forming in the engine and over the wing! Fairly quiet flight once airborne, most people fell asleep missing the stunning views over Europe.

Another day of high-speed crosswinds at BHX on May 5th 2015, and as usual it's the variability that causes the real problems, not the mere wind speed/direction. Here flight ZB971 from Malaga attempts to land twice, aborting the first and doing a "missed approach" on the second. The plane then diverted to Manchester without trying a third time. -

So after finding cheap flights with Thomas Cook just 2 weeks before the departure date I thought why not and booked it up! Must admit I was rather hoping for one of the new Thomas Cook A321's with the sharklets but was quite pleased to see I would be travelling on the "Egypt, Where it all begins" aircraft. Very busy flight, not many if any empty seats about, lots of families and couples off for a week or two break. After three years, the project of integrating the first Airbus A321 has found its successful finish: Since June, 6th 2013, the new Airbus A321 is flying for the German airline Condor. It is the first of 23 new aircraft which will be brought into service at Thomas Cook Group Airlines. In February 2014, the aircraft will being transferred to Thomas Cook Airlines UK where it will then be deployed for departures from the UK on a permanent basis. The specifications for the Airbus A321 were defined by a project team comprising colleagues from across all airlines in Thomas Cook Group, representing the specific needs of each airline.
The aircraft was christened "Voyager Android"; the name was chosen in a Thomas Cook Group competition by the employees. "Voyager Android" was created by Harriet Green, Chief Executive of the Thomas Cook Group. It describes the carrier's vision of always being available to its customers regardless of where they happen to be, and so the term also stands for the Group's future, for technology, comfort and the best customer service.
A filming team and a photographer attended the aircraft´s assembly, painting plus the delivery ceremony in Hamburg-Finkenwerder and the inaugural event in Berlin-Schönefeld.
In addition to the two video on the assembly and the painting, the third video form the finalisation of this for the Thomas Cook Group Airlines important and special process.

This plan soon comes to a halt however, as the airport is placed on ground stop due to a passing storm. We sit, engines shut down, for almost two hours (thankfully not filmed in its entirety!) before we finally get clearance to taxi out to runway 27L and depart on a Pottstown departure.
We get airborne on a beautiful evening, with wonderful light and a lightning storm in the distance providing a spectacular backdrop. Once we reach cruising altitude, we begin chasing the sunset across North America, before we finally lose the light completely around two hours in, south of Chicago. Our only glimpse of life on the ground now is the numerous cities we fly over, lit up brightly in the night sky. Onboard this Friday night flight to Vegas however, it's a party atmosphere, with the drinks flowing freely amongst the half full Airbus! We fly over Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL, Lincoln, NE, Denver, CO, and finally over a pitch black Grand Canyon, before we see the bright lights of Las Vegas on the horizon. We make a stunning approach and landing over the city touching down precisely 3 hours and 1 minute behind schedule!
We disembark the aircraft into the terminal, passing rows of slot machines as soon as you enter the terminal, and make our way down to the baggage claim where our driver is waiting to take us to our hotel for the weekend.
