Pulkit Samrat

Pulkit Samrat is an Indian film actor and model. He made his debut in Bollywood with Bittoo Boss (2012).

Early life and background

Pulkit Samrat was born and brought up in a Punjabi joint family in Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, where his family has its real estate business. He studied at Manav Sthali School, New Rajendra Nagar till class X and completed his schooling from Montfort Senior Secondary School, Ashok Vihar, Delhi and joined an advertising course at Apeejay Institute of Design, Delhi. However, after studying for five months, he received a modelling assignment. Thereafter he quit his studies and shifted to Mumbai, where joined acting course run by Kishore Namit Kapoor.

Career

Pulkit shifted to Mumbai in 2005, and made his television debut in the role of Lakshya Virani in long-running television soap by Balaji Telefilms, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 2006, which first got him recognition, though he quit the show in 2007. The actor was suffering from a bad back and had a to go through a lot of trouble while shooting for the daily soap. He went to Dubai to get treatment for his back. The character made him the winner of Best Fresh New Face Award at The Indian Telly Awards and Favourite Naya Sadasya (Favourite Newcomer) at Star Parivaar Awards(SPA). In 2011, he appeared as the lead in choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant's musical theatrical Taj Express.

Yami Gautam

Yami Gautam (born 28 November 1988) is an Indian film actress and model who predominantly appears in Hindi and Telugu films.

Gautam's initial appearances were on Indian television commercials and soap operas such as Chand Ke Paar Chalo (2008), Raajkumar Aaryyan (2008), Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam (2009) and Meethi Choori No 1 (2010).

In 2010, she made her cinematic debut with Kannada film Ullasa Utsaha. In 2012, Gautam made her Bollywood debut in Shoojit Sircar's Vicky Donor. Upon release, the film was a critical and commercial success, and Gautam gained positive reviews for her performance.

Personal life

Yami Gautam was born in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh in a Pahari-Punjabi family and was brought up in Chandigarh. Her father, Mukesh Gautam, is a Punjabi film director. Yami has a sister, Surilie Gautam who made her big screen debut with Punjabi film Power Cut. She did her regular schooling and later joined college for pursuing a graduate degree in law honours. She had aspired to join Indian Administrative Services (IAS) as a young girl, but at the age of 20, Yami decided to start her acting career. As she was pursuing Studies in Law Honors (first-year PU Student of the Law), but she left full-time studies for acting. Recently, she is doing her part-time Graduation from Mumbai. Yami is fond of reading, interior decoration and listening to music.

Junooniyat

Junooniyat is an upcoming romantic Bollywood movie starring Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam. Hunterrr fame Gulshan Devaiah will be seen doing a small performance in the movie. The movie is directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Bhushan Kumar. The movie is expected to be released in summer 2016. Junooniyat is an intense yet lilting ‘love story’ interlaced with some great music handpicked by Bhushan Kumar & Vivek Agnihotri. It took over 9 months to the duo to zero down the music of the film.

Choreography of the movie is done by Vijay Ganguly, who is a protege of Shaimak Davar. Music of the intense love journey is composed by Ankit Tiwari, Meet bros and Jeet Ganguly.

Production

Principal photography on Junnoniyat began in November 2014.

The making of the movie started in November 2014 in beautiful Kashmir valley and followed up by Amritsar. The second schedule of the shoot started in March in Patiala, Chail and in moderately warm Shimla. Some parts of the movie was shot in Sonamarg,an alpine valley is situated at the bank of Nallah Sindh, 87 km north-east from Srinagar. The cast and crew of Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam starrer 'Junooniyat' were supposed to shoot for a song sequence in Mumbai but had to drop their plans at last moment as the director wanted to get the perfect flavor because the movie is based on Punjab. Later, the song was shot on actual locations in Punjab.

Meet Bros

Meet Bros is a duo of Indian music directors. The duo includes Manmeet Singh & Harmeet Singh. They have composed and performed songs for Bollywood movies such as Policegiri, Oh My God!, Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum, Yeh Dooriyan, Do Dooni Chaar, Paan Singh Tomar and Isi Life Mein Due to the success of their single Jogi Singh Barnala Singh from the album Boond, Harmeet and Manmeet were motivated to switch from acting to music. They are well known for their composition "Baby Doll" for "Ragini MMS 2".
They have composed the music for upcoming films including "Hate Story 3", "Ki and Ka", "Mastizaade" and "Shimla Mirchi".
