Since 1984, INTACH has pioneered the conservation and protection of India's natural and cultural heritage and is today the largest membership organization in the country dedicated to conservation. Today it has Chapters in 170 Indian cities, as well as Chapters in Belgium, and the United Kingdom. INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) is an all India organisation, with headquarters in New Delhi, dedicated to heritage conservation and awareness. It has more than 150 chapters all over India. This video shows the work of INTACH Pondicherry's heritage building restoration projects in Pondicherry and Tranquebar. It demonstartes that heritage buildings that 'appear' beyond redemption can be restored if there is the will to do it. It is hoped that this will be an inspiration for others, especially in India, to protect architectural heritage
