China, Russia Conduct Joint Anti-terrorism Drill in Moscow

The Chinese People's Armed Police Force and the newly created National Guard of Russia began a series of large-scale joint counter-terrorism exercises, "Cooperation-2016", in Moscow. The exercises began on Sunday and will run until July 14th in the Russian regions of Moscow and Smolensk, with the participation of China's Snow Leopard and Falcon units, as well as the Vityaz unit of the National Guard of Russia. According to Liu Zhijun, deputy director of the department of exercises of the People's Armed Police Force, this is the third time that the internal forces of the two countries have conducted these military exercises, which focus on tactical terrorism-fighting skills to boost cooperation. According to Liu, soldiers will have not only physical trainings, but also other basic exercises such as group tactics, shooting and wrestling.
