Donor Conceived Children: How It Feels To Be Donor Conceived Kids

Are donor conceived children happy about their family? Donor conceived children explain what’s it’s like to be donor conceived kids. I’m a solo mother by choice and happy donor kids are the norm in my personal experience. My sperm donor kids tell why being fatherless children feels normal to them and what the difference is between anonymous donors and ID release donors. Then again, my children have been really disinterested in the whole topic so far. They've been told since before they could talk and they've heard me explain it to others a thousand times. Maybe they'll summon up a little more interest some time in their teens? or when they have children themselves? Or maybe they won't and you and I will have to get over our curiosity?! I always felt my family was incomplete until Jedi and Shesscintle were born. Since that day we've been a complete family. The day may come where some or all of us have partners - but they'll be bonus extras added to an already happy family. Having no father in the home is kinda like having no swimming pool. It would probably be nice, but then again it could sometimes be a giant pain lol. My sons will be incredibly important people to their own children if they have them, and their own children won't feel deprived if they only have 1 parent to adore them (like if they become solo dads by choice). All families are their own kind of awesome and it's offensive to try to rank them. I’ve mentioned before that I think it’s really disrespectful to donors to describe them as a type of father - or to describe uninvolved fathers as donors. I also think it’s disrespectful to real fathers who raise children they aren’t genetically connected to. So my children and I tend to get a little offended by the phrase “donor dad/father”. We’re really blessed to live in a state that supports both single women (through sperm donation) and single men (through surrogacy) to become solo parents by choice. We’ve met very few people who’ve been openly negative about our family. Or else maybe the negative ones simply realised I’m better qualified to express an opinion than they are so they don't dare hahahaha.
