1973 narra las historias de Rodolfo, Mafer y Alejandro, 3 personajes reales que cuentan su vida en este documental nacidos en 1973 en la Ciudad de México, que relatan la historia de sus vidas, en las que el poder, el abuso, el amor, la familia, el asesinato y el odio, se entretejen creando la realidad que marcará a su generación.
This dark documentary can be seen as three separate stories of people united by two themes: they were born in 1973 in Mexico City, and their lives were, to different extent, destroyed. The first story is that of Rodolfo Escogido, a student leader who raises to obtain significant power in an organization known for being corrupt and violent. Rodolfo is able to unite its splinter groups, and enjoys a brief moment of glory, but later can't to keep them together. He has a falling out with the governmental authorities who, at one point, had supported him, and ends up in jail accused, falsely according to him, of robbery. For the documentary he is interviewed in prison. The second story is that of María Fernanda Ramos Macín (Mafer), an emotionally unstable girl whose life begins to disintegrate in a mixture of partying, alcohol, drugs and unwanted pregnancies, until she attempts suicide by jumping from an 11-meter tall bridge...

La isla de Ibiza se localiza en el Mar Mediterráneo y es la isla más próxima a la Península Ibérica de cuantas conforman el archipiélago de las Islas Baleares. Ibiza está situada a aproximadamente 75 Km de la ciudad alicantina de Denia, a cerca de 140 Km de la isla de Mallorca y al norte de la isla de Formentera.
En este lugar fue donde James Blunt compró una casa, para pasar sus vacaciones, descansar luego de haber sacado ya su primer álbum (Back to bedlam), aquí mismo James Blunt empieza a escribir las canciones para lo que es su segundo álbum "All the lost souls".
Pues bien, según las propias palabras de James Blunt;
"Bueno, yo nací en 1974. Así que escribí acerca de una mujer llamada Simona y acerca de un momento nostálgico - es una celebración de algo que hicimos el hace un tiempo en Ibiza. Y Pacha fue inaugurado en 1973, pero 1973 fue también un gran año para la música, salieron muchos álbumes fantásticos en ese momento."

James Blunt
James Hillier Blount (born 22 February 1974), better known by his stage name James Blunt, is an English singer-songwriter and former soldier. He had signed with EMI before securing a recording contract with Atlantic Records and Custard Records.
Blunt rose to prominence in 2004 with the release of his debut studio album Back to Bedlam, before achieving worldwide fame with the singles "You're Beautiful" and "Goodbye My Lover". The album sold over 11 million copies worldwide, topping the UK Albums Chart and peaking at number two in the US. Blunt's second album, All the Lost Souls, which was released in 2007, topped the charts in over 20 countries and produced the hit single "1973". His third album, Some Kind of Trouble, was released in 2010, after its lead single Stay the Night. A deluxe edition was released the following year, titled Some Kind of Trouble: Revisited. In 2013, he released his fourth album, Moon Landing, which was preceded by the lead single "Bonfire Heart", which peaked at number four in the UK Singles Chart following promotion on The One Show and The Graham Norton Show, as well as receiving extensive radio airplay.

1973 narra las historias de Rodolfo, Mafer y Alejandro, 3 personajes reales que cuentan su vida en este documental nacidos en 1973 en la Ciudad de México, que relatan la historia de sus vidas, en las que el poder, el abuso, el amor, la familia, el asesinato y el odio, se entretejen creando la realidad que marcará a su generación.
This dark documentary can be seen as three separate stories of people united by two themes: they were born in 1973 in Mexico City, and their lives were, to different extent, destroyed. The first story is that of Rodolfo Escogido, a student leader who raises to obtain significant power in an organization known for being corrupt and violent. Rodolfo is able to unite its splinter groups, and enjoys a brief moment of glory, but later can't to keep them together. He has a falling out with the governmental authorities who, at one point, had supported him, and ends up in jail accused, falsely according to him, of robbery. For the documentary he is interviewed in prison. The second story is that of María Fernanda Ramos Macín (Mafer), an emotionally unstable girl whose life begins to disintegrate in a mixture of partying, alcohol, drugs and unwanted pregnancies, until she attempts suicide by jumping from an 11-meter tall bridge...

Esta canción fue inspirada por James Blunt en las noches que pasó en la discoteca (club), de nombre "Pacha", localizado en la isla de Ibiza.
La isla de Ibiza se localiza en el Mar Mediterráneo y es la isla más próxima a la Península Ibérica de cuantas conforman el archipiélago de las Islas Baleares. Ibiza está situada a aproximadamente 75 Km de la ciudad alicantina de Denia, a cerca de 140 Km de la isla de Mallorca y al norte de la isla de Formentera.
En este lugar fue donde James Blunt compró una casa, para pasar sus vacaciones, descansar luego de haber sacado ya su primer álbum (Back to bedlam), aquí mismo James Blunt empieza a escribir las canciones para lo que es su segundo álbum "All the lost souls".
Pues bien, según las propias palabras de James Blunt;
"Bueno, yo nací en 1974. Así que escribí acerca de una mujer llamada Simona y acerca de un momento nostálgico - es una celebración de algo que hicimos el hace un tiempo en Ibiza. Y Pacha fue inaugurado en 1973, pero 1973 fue también un gran año para la música, salieron muchos álbumes fantásticos en ese momento."
