The family of Alton Sterling appeared at a press conference this morning in Baton Rouge. Among other things, local NAACP leaders and others called for the police chief to step down and called for the cops involved in the shooting of Sterling, which was caught on camera by a bystander, to be charged. Sterling’s police record will be reviewed extensively by the public. Debates will rage over whether the officers should be charged at all. Throughout all of those weedy conversations, it will be worth remembering that there are elements of the case that have nothing to do with the law. There are human elements that cannot be debated. Here is his young son, age 15, breaking down in sobs as his mother addresses the media: #Video: Son of #AltonSterling breaks down in tears as family speaks out about Baton Rouge shooting Watch above as his son begins to cry and is held by surrounding community members. Sterling was the father of five. By his family’s account, he sold CDs in the space where he was eventually killed so that he could help provide for his children.Alton Sterling's 15 year old son couldn't be consoled. The boy bawled and cried out for his father who was fatally shot by police Tuesday. He was embraced and taken away by loved ones demanding answers from Baton Rouge officials. "I believe this community deserves an answer. I don't believe they should've waited this long to give us an answer we've been asking for," Rep. Denise Marcelle said at a press conference Wednesday. A video posted to Facebook showed a man matching Sterling's description being pinned down and struggling with two police officers before several gunshots can be heard off-camera. Baton Rouge police have yet to issue a statement. "What I'm calling for today is that the chief law enforcement officer to fire the police chief," Michael McClanahan, president of the NAACP chapter in #BatonRouge, said. "He must step down. We cannot have anybody who allows this type of action to take place." #ALTONSTERLING Michael McClanahan is the president of the Baton Rouge chapter of the NAACP. Today, he spoke at a press conference in response to the shooting of Alton Sterling, which was caught on camera by a bystander. He called for the police officers involved to be charged, but was also clear in his demands regarding what should happen to those at higher levels within the department BREAKING: NAACP calls for Baton Rouge police chief to be fired after #AltonSterling shooting He referred to the “culture of the Baton Rouge Police Department,” saying he wanted to “root out the 1% of bad police officers that go around becoming the judge, the jury, and the executioner of innocent people, period, but more specifically, innocent black lives.” He called for the chief law enforcement officer, the mayor, to fire the chief of police.

Baton Rouge (/ˌbætən ˈruːʒ/; French for "Red Stick", French: Bâton-Rouge [bɑtɔ̃ ʁuʒ]) is the capital of the U.S. state of Louisiana and its second-largest city. The seat of East Baton Rouge Parish, the city is located on the eastern bank of the Mississippi River.
As the "Capital City", Baton Rouge is the political hub for Louisiana, and is the second-largest metropolitan city in the state, with an estimated population of 228,895 as of 2014. The metropolitan area surrounding the city, known as Greater Baton Rouge, had a population of 820,159 people as of 2013. The urban area has around 594,309 inhabitants.
Baton Rouge is a major industrial, petrochemical, medical, research, motion picture, and growing technology center of the American South. The Port of Greater Baton Rouge is the tenth largest in the United States in terms of tonnage shipped, and is the farthest upstream Mississippi River port capable of handling Panamax ships.
The Baton Rouge area owes its historical importance to its strategic site upon the Istrouma Bluff, the first natural bluff upriver from the Mississippi River Delta. This allowed development of a business quarter safe from seasonal flooding. In addition, the city built a levee system stretching from the bluff southward to protect the riverfront and low-lying agricultural areas. The city is a culturally rich center, with settlement by immigrants from numerous European nations and African peoples. It was ruled by seven different governments: French, British, and Spanish in the colonial era, West Floridian, United States territory and state, Confederate, and United States again.

The boy bawled and cried out for his father who was fatally shot by police Tuesday. He was embraced and taken away by loved ones demanding answers from Baton Rouge officials. "I believe this community deserves an answer. I don't believe they should've waited this long to give us an answer we've been asking for," Rep. Denise Marcelle said at a press conference Wednesday. Ryan put these lessons to work and founded his own business, Cajun Ready Mix Concrete. He knows that hard work and dedication are the way to win in business and in life. As a businessman, he also understands that burdensome regulations and excessive taxes kill economic growth. For this reason, as a Metro-Councilman, Ryan consistently challenges the status quo by fighting tax increases and working to implement innovative ways to expand Louisiana’s economy. One prime example of his ability to get things done is his work to bring Uber, the popular rideshare app, to Baton Rouge.
Ryan’s efforts to fight crony capitalism and corporate welfare have led to continued reform and accountability. While on the council, he shook up the Capital Area Transit System’s (CATS) Board of Directors because of their inability to operate in a fiscally responsible way. As a state representative, he will actively root out the corruption and cronyism that has been holding Louisiana back for decades. Ryan continues to be a fiscal conservative leader fighting for a reduced budget. Fighting to roll back all recent tax increases and delivering a more efficient government are among his top priorities.
Ryan has represented District 11 on the East Baton Rouge Parish Metropolitan Council since January 2013. This district covers many well known neighborhoods such as Old Goodwood, Tara, Bocage / Jefferson Place, Westminster, and Jefferson Terrace. He has demonstrated his leadership and displayed his values by being a consistent, conservative voice for commonsense solutions.
Ryan and his wife, Loredana, are the proud parents of Isabella and Roman. He and his wife have raised their children with conservative, Christian values that guide them every day. Ryan is proudly pro-life, a Lifetime Member of the National Rifle Association, and will fight to protect the rights and culture of our community.

Forbes reported “Walmart recently announced that it was raising its minimum starting wage to $9 an hour, 24% higher than the federal minimum. Since Walmart is famous for its ruthless cost management, this appeared, on its face, to be a significant sign of a tightening labor market.” Walmart wasn’t offering higher wages because the economy was streamlining, The Walton family raised the minimum wage to $9 an hour due to the liberal socialist madness generated by Washington D.C.
Now those chickens have come home to roost, and it didn’t take long. Zero Hedge reports “Walmart’s stocks have nose dived and it hasn’t seen a low like this in seventeen years. “ The stock had fallen by 22%.
Walmart as a brand is comparable to heroin, its incredibly bad for our economy, but the addictive supply is on every corner and the other pushers can’t compete. And the dealer’s in this market smackdown are the richest family in America. Valued at $140 billion, equal to 42% of American families combined. While the Walton’s take down America from their multi million dollar yachts, they pose as the saviors by setting up fake philanthropic foundations and creating a brand that claims to care for American families. They actually could care less , they have actually donated next to nothing to charity. Comparatively, Bill Gates and Warren Buffett have given approximately 30% of their wealth to charity, and those guys are evil.
Now a new report from the globalist machine, The World Bank,(Bloomberg)“projects that 600 million new jobs must be created over the next 10 years, or 5 million a month, just to prevent the situation from getting worse.” The majority of the unemployed will be between the ages of 15 to 29 years old. Millennials already make up an average of 40 percent of the unemployed in the United States. A generation living in poverty during the best years of their life is a hard way to go. Meanwhile the homogenized business model of corporatized chains akin to Walmart are gobbling up what once made America great.

Vascular specialist Dr. Andrew Olinde shares more cardiovascular health tips and information about Baton Rouge General's free vascular health screening series in this interview with WBRZ-TV.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office K-9 Team was named the 2015 United States Police Canine Association Region 10 Champions just six months after receiving the Top Dog award in the National Trials. Captain James Broussard and K-9 INDO received the Top Dog award as well as winning first place in Patrol, Agility, Article Search, Box Search and Scent Work in the local Regional Trials held this past week. Two uniformed officers responded to the call and confronted the suspect, 37-year-old Alton Sterling, at the convenience store.
In a video taken from a nearby parked car, Sterling is seen being violently tackled and thrown to the pavement by an officer.
Another video, shot by the owner of the store, Abdullah Muflahi, shows Sterling pinned to the ground. One officer is straddling him, holding what appears to be a gun to his chest while warning him not to move. The other officer, who kneeling by Sterling’s head, pulls his gun out of its holster when Sterling continues to struggle.
One of the officers suddenly yells “Gun!”, and shots ring out as Sterling is hit repeatedly in the chest. He later died from his injuries.
An unnamed witness told Baton Rouge newspaper the Advocate that Sterling had a gun but was neither holding it nor touching his pockets during the altercation. Shop owner Muflahi told the Advocate that officers retrieved a gun from Sterling’s pocket after the incident.
The U.S. Justice Department opened a civil rights investigation into the shooting after protests in the community erupted immediately after the shooting. The two officers involved have been put on paid administrative leave, which is standard procedure after shooting incidents.
