Laredo, Texas
Laredo (/ləˈreɪdoʊ/ lə-RAY-doh; Spanish: [laˈɾeðo]) is the county seat of Webb County, Texas, United States, located on the north bank of the Rio Grande in South Texas, across from Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. According to the 2010 census, the city population was 236,191, making it the tenth-most populous city in the state of Texas and third-most populated on the Mexican border, after San Diego, California and El Paso, Texas. Its metropolitan area is the 178th-largest in the US and includes all of Webb county, with a population of 250,304. Laredo is also part of the cross-border Laredo-Nuevo Laredo Metropolitan Area with an estimated population of 636,516.
Laredo's economy is based on international trade with Mexico. Most major transportation companies have a facility in Laredo. The city's location on the southern end of I-35 close to the manufacturers in northern Mexico promotes its vital role in trade between the two nations. Laredo International Airport is within the Laredo city limits, while the Quetzalcoatl International Airport is nearby in Nuevo Laredo on the Mexican side.

A local Mariachi band was performing for the lovely guests and my two good friends and cast mates Ricky Holguin and Elizabeth Sosa asked if they could sing a Mariachi Ballod just for fun. Mr. RUDYTEJANO PEÑA was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. After completing a successful twenty-five year military career, he retired from the United States Navy. Today he is a devoted and dedicated advocate for the acknowledgement and recognition of UNITED STATES Tejano / Texan distinguished identity, culture and heritage. Currently, legions of original Tejano descendants reside in Texas. Descendants of Tejanos may also be found in the United States and around the globe. Historically, Untied States born Tejanos may be descendants of early European settlers and indigenous people, who populated the territory during the early 1600’s. Theoretically, it’s from combinations of these early Tejas diverse cultures, Tejanos and Tejanas emerged, evolved and developed. Traditionally, combinations of Spaniards and local Indigenous people are the most prevalent. It’s not unusual to find other European influence in the fancy Tejano appearance of beautiful women and handsome men. The distinctive features of these cultural combinations, in many cases attribute to the classic Texas born Tejano appearance. The other major influence has been from Mexico and the United States. While historians, educators and societies in general have acknowledged and recognized Latinos, Mexican, Hispanics, Mexican-Americans and Chicanos, somehow they have completely ignored and excluded the existence and identity of United States Texas born Tejanos. Laredo, TX USA to Toronto, ON Canada Time Lapse
This is a time lapse video I made while driving my semi truck from Laredo, TX to Toronto, ON. It was captured with my HTC Evo with the LapseIt app set to take a capture every 10 seconds. I produced the final video with Windows Movie Maker at one frame per 0.03 seconds. I started just 12 miles north of the Mexican border and covered almost 1800 miles in 5 days (3 full and 2 half). I traveled over I-35, I-30, I-40, I-55, I-57, I-70, I-69, US-24, I-75 and Hwy 401 in Ontario. I went through Texas (San Antonio, Austin, Waco, Dallas and Texarkana), Arkansas (Little Rock and West Memphis), Missouri, Illinois (Mt Vernon and Effingham), Indiana (Indianapolis and Fort Wayne), Ohio (Toledo), Michigan (Detroit) and Ontario Canada (Windsor, Chatham-Kent, London, Cambridge, Mississauga and Toronto)

I produced the final video with Windows Movie Maker at one frame per 0.03 seconds. I started just 12 miles north of the Mexican border and covered almost 1800 miles in 5 days (3 full and 2 half). I traveled over I-35, I-30, I-40, I-55, I-57, I-70, I-69, US-24, I-75 and Hwy 401 in Ontario.
